They are an expanded collection of how not to play in the NFL. it’s one thing to be bad. It’s completely another thing to show absolutely no talent and completely suck like no one else before. It’s not like he’s been throwing g couple of bad passes a game resulting in ints. He throws couple of good passes a game and the rest has been trash. There are no growing pains here. It’s just plain ol pain. Geno Smith in his rookie year was leaps and bounds better than the pretty boy. Let that settle in. So confused. Bad QBs don't throw for 400+ yards in a regular season game against an actual NFL defense. Period. He may be injury prone, or have bad luck, but we have objective proof that Mike can play QB in the NFL. There is no reason not to tender him, and have him on the roster next year. He has proven he can run the offense, and if (when) Wilson shows he isn't going progress, he could be the guy to step in. If they are worried about some type of fan driven qb completion, then there are even bigger problems with Wilson and the front office. You are making my argument for me. Mike White had an elite level performance in a regular season game, against an actual NFL Defense. Period. Sure, may be injury prone, and he also had a bad game vs Buffalo, but the good vs Cincy and briefly against the Colts (a very good D) are enough for any rational, objective person to want to see more. Zach Wilson is grounding screen passes, has zero pocket presence, and struggles to achieve a 50% completion rate and 200 yards. Period. So far, that's what he is. Struggling. But one DOES have something to do with the other, because they're playing with the same supporting cast In the same offense. Except one has looked MUCH better than the other.
