Popular Post Peace Frog
This is crazy. My best friend's daughter is getting married New Year's Eve (she's pretty much my god daughter) and she's getting calls from friends/invitees asking if "she thinks she's doing the right thing" by having the wedding. It's less than TEN DAYS AWAY--fully paid for, everything is set. Do you cancel now? We rescheduled my younger daughter's wedding a year in advance, then rescheduled it a second time months in advance. How do you cancel a wedding in less than 10 days? Crazy times. 7

Double vaxxed and just contracted it last weekend. Maybe he's super immune. I got my booster the other night and I'm kind of hoping I get it soon. 1 1

People should live their lives and stop letting this thing have so much control. Everyone that wants to get vaccinated has had every opportunity and is supposed to be largely protected from having a bad case. Is this wedding occurring in the north east or California? We've moved on with our lives in the South. I think the NFL is handling this crazy. Just play the season and if someone is too sick to play don't play. 26 1

I've been living my life like there is nothing going on. Especially with this variant, symptoms like a mild cold? Yeah, I'm good. Told my friend last night that his daughter should tell folks "come, don't come, up to you but if you don't come, send a present and we're done" lol. I think most people living 10 miles away from both coasts or certain major cities have moved on with their lives. It's just so draining hearing it beat into our heads all day every day by the media and talking heads.

Sorry, agree. My fault--back to football. I'm hoping the NFL allows asyptomatic players who choose to play to play. Can't imagine being a Browns fan and not having any QBs to play as they're heading down the stretch run.

Matt39
Definitely more prevalent in NY than it was in FL. Barely even think about it in Florida. Cant remember the last time the office even referenced it. Visiting NY for xmas and everyone is still at home it seems. Feel bad for the restaurants.

Covid would spread to everyone's families and the elderly. I agree you should live your life, but if you contract the disease you need to be quarantined. My neighbor is a Dr. at Yale and he said the beds are full with Covid patients - 80% are unvaccinated and 20% are vaccinated without a booster. Also said people are dying every day. But hey, why not play a game while infected. 5

The vaccine wears off a little after time so the most consistent thing I have heard is that people with the booster are the most protected but all vaccinated people get the disease less and have less severe symptoms. The thing I am struggling with a bit is that the new variant does not really seem to be more dangerous than the common cold (which is also a covid virus) as opposed to the original variants which were orders of magnitude more dangerous.
