ZEKE (?)

Goal line and 4th and inches specialist. That's all I got.

Excellent in pass protection and reliable out of the backfield.

He's still a very solid NFL RB in the way Leonard fournette was solid for Brady and Mahomes likes McKinnon.

He's definitely not a # 1 RB anymore but a guy like Rodgers will want a guy he can depend on to pick up a blitz than a RB that is 20 pct faster or elusive.

Either way,  this would only be as a cheap insurance option for breece.

Until the Jets sign (ugh) Zeke. Then he’ll be all about Zeke.

But the tweets show how they really feel.  And no one wants him. And I don’t think the Jets want him either. We are being used as a desired destination by Zeke agents, to build up his value. Which is certainly a strange feeling.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Carter is moved. I think he fell out of favor (albeit less vocally) like Moore did.

His low cap hit and relationship with Breece, will keep him on the team. He can be a useful 3rd down back with Rodgers actually throwing accurate screen passes.

If that were the case, they wouldn’t sign him. JD isn’t stupid.

It’s math. We have 3 guys we can cut or restructure. All or most of that money will need to be delegated to Aaron Rodgers or some other guy (Jackson/Stafford/Tannehill). What remains has to go to rookies which will be in the range of 8-10 million. Plus filling out the rest of the roster with needed positions, none of which are RBs. We signed Ty Johnson. That’s our Zeke.

The Jets will be involved in any “name” FA that becomes available due to Aaron. They want him to know they’re legitimately working to create a winning environment. Whether or not they sign these guys probably comes down to what role they’re looking to take and for how much.

You would think Zeke will will prioritize the Eagles first, then Bengals (depending on what happens with Mixon), then us but who knows… all I know is if we sign him it won’t be for much money
