Any criticism of the defense, which has no sacks and no turnovers over the past two weeks, is forbidden. It's an "elite" defense because it holds weak offenses to low point totals. According to most on this board, sacks, pressures, and turnovers are not important. And when they don't come, that is Wilson's fault too.... The defense was great in week 1, but has been average to below average the past two weeks. Great defenses pressure the QB. The Jets haven't touched a QB since Allen and had trouble getting pressure and generating turnovers last season as well. You are Iost - your argument is completely ignoring the context of the modern NFL. FYI, the average points scored per game by NFL teams last year was 23 points. If the Jets had merely scored 23 points in each of their last 18 games, they would have been 15-3. LOL. But yea, let’s complain because the defense isn’t the Steel Curtain. But I trusted the org in their evaluation of him esp after last year's good draft. Plus he's from Iowa State a very good program that recently produced Breece Hall and Brock Purdy. I think he'll be OK maybe there's too much depth at his position plus he's behind veterans. We'll see. btw I didn't know until last weekend that Anthony Becht's son is a QB at Iowa State and played last week and had a very good game beating Okla State.
