Well that’s not how any of this work. You don’t lose games intentionally unless you’re in some 1920s gambling ring. Players play for pride, money, tape, and contracts. As do coaches. So getting upset over a team winning a football game like there job and goal is, is just nonsensical. But yea keep getting upset

Tanks are Front office driven, obviously.

If you’re asking a team to tank, you’re pursuing a fantasy of your own making.  No team in the NFL tanks because the stakes are so high — for both the coaches and the players.  When you say “tank” that equates to losing on purpose.  No pro does that.  If you think they do, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.  Call me.  I’ll give you a real deal.

What’s the asking price for the bridge?

Defense is a draw.  Would love to see them make a push for Chris Jones.  Can not double both Jones and Williams, and interior line push makes opportunities for every other player.

Rodgers will draw offensive talent.  Hall, Wilson, Rodgers with a beefed up oline.

Jets could be a destination.

We’ll see. This has been a place that either gets the guy that only cares about getting the best offer or where they go when there are no other options. The legit options generally use us to get the money they want from the other team.  Maybe with a full free agency with Rodgers under contract we can finally land the type of free agent we never get? Still a tough sell though because this team is coming off another “only the jets” type season. add in that they could be signing with a team that is on the brink of firing everyone…I’m not sure how confident I am that the jets can finally land the type of free agents that we need.

This win just took us out of the top LT in the draft. I was sitting there after it was 28-27 thinking we're going to kick a field goal to win this game... Only the JETS...

I was extremely confident we were going to win.  The Commanders basically played prevent defense against a QB who has no arm.

Which is exactly why it’s good to pick higher in every round.  With the draft you get high end young talent that has no choice but to sign with you.

Explain “obviously”

Who else would drive it?  lol.  Why does this still need to be explained?

Players and coaches don’t lose on purpose.  Ergo the control on personnel decisions (who plays and who doesn’t) has to be taken away from them, by….(drum roll)….the front office.

It really is ridiculous. They had no business winning 2 of the last 3 games. What a bunch of aholes.

The Texans game was a beat down we needed when we were still in it. A 9-8 team will clinch thr 7 seed. Today was a disgrace. At least win the game by 20 points, where was the 85 bears defense up 3 scores to the damn Washington football team!

Rodgers isn't drawing anyone noteworthy just like he didn't last offseason.

We took Vernon Gholston instead of Matt Ryan due to a late season win in a lost season.

We took Quinnem Williams instead of Nick Bosa due to  late season meaningless win.

We took Zach Wilson instead of Trevor Lawrence due to a late season meaningless win.

When your team is done and out of the playoffs it pays to lose.   Especially a maddeningly bad team like the jets who always come up limp in the meaningful games and then always win a useless game at the end....ever......single....year.

Can’t believe you forgot the worst one of all…winning the “announce less” last game of 1980 and  getting Freeman McNeil and not LT.

This logic is so flawed it hurts…

The eagles win cost as much as the commanders win. You guys realize that?

Teams don’t quit or play to lose. Get out of your fantasy fan world and come back to reality. Teams only have 17 and play to win each one. The only way a team “tanks” is by stripping a team of talent like we did in 2020. Even then it’s no guarantee. Going 0-17 in this league is almost as hard as going 17-0. You build a winning culture and rally to learn how to win. Picking 5th instead of 8th at the cost of loses is just plain stupid.

Plus when teams “tank” it’s for a QB. You guys think a LT or WR saves this team? Or we can’t get a talent T or WR in the top 15? Wake the **** up. Garret Wilson wasn’t even taken till 10.

The draft fetish with jet fans is just weird especially when it’s given us so few results over the years. I guess it gives people something to do in feb march or April. Chill guys. It’s a god damn lotto ticket. Then again many of you prob spend to much money on your sports app and AC losing cash left and right.

The league rewards teams that cant compete for the playoffs and potentially a championship better picks for losing.

The rules are created to encourage bad teams to tank.  Tanking isn't just a thing. Its expected.  That's why JD made a phone call to Saleh at halftime to make necessary adjustments.  Saleh was out coached at the end of the game.

Fwiw, there are 2 very recent examples of teams tanking:

-Jax replacing Gardner Minshew with Mike Glennon for the final few games during the Trevor Lawrence season

-The Eagles replacing Jalen Hurts with Nate Sudfeld.
