It's one thing to say "they're in disarray" which appears not to be true.

Saying "the vibes are terrible" just feels like the complete antithesis of the truth. This team may underachieve but the vibes are good.

Does Ceasers Sportsbook one of the 15 the official gambling site of the NFL, add or subtract points based on team vibes?   Asking for a fiend who's currently holed up in the Betty Ford clinic.

NFL Agent Says Aaron Rodgers Isn't a Team Player: Jets Are in 'Complete Disarray'

An anonymous NFL agent expressed their belief Thursday that the New York Jets are in a state of turmoil due to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Speaking to Ben Standig of The Athletic, the agent said: "There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible."

New York acquired Rodgers, 40, in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers prior to the 2023 season, but he suffered a season-ending torn Achilles on the Jets' first offensive series of the campaign.

Now the Jets are banking on the idea that Rodgers will be able to bounce back and play at a high level in 2024 despite his age and the significance of the injury he is returning from.

Rumors of Rodgers running the roost in New York began before he was even officially traded to the organization.

In March 2023, The Athletic's Dianna Russini (h/t ESPN's Rich Cimini) reported that Rodgers had given the Jets a "wish list" of players he wanted them to acquire, including wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, and tight end Marcedes Lewis.

Rodgers denied it ever happened, calling it "ridiculous," but the Jets did end up signing both Lazard and Cobb.

After missing essentially the entire 2023 season, it was widely expected that Rodgers would have a significant presence within the Jets' offseason program, but he controversially missed the team's mandatory minicamp on June 11 and 12.

Per Fox Sports, Rodgers admitted that his absence was due to a trip to Egypt, which he planned based on the previous year's minicamp schedule.

Rodgers admitted he was fined due to the unexcused absence, but he downplayed the importance of missing the minicamp dates during an appearance on Barstool's Pardon My Take podcast (h/t Cimini), saying:

"They can arbitrarily put a tag on whatever week of OTAs they want and say, 'This is the minicamp week,' which makes it somehow more mandatory than the other weeks. But it was an OTA schedule. That's how words can be a little deceiving from time to time. They can make a story out of the fact that I missed minicamp, but it was really two OTA days, but [I] came to the first 10."

Regardless of whether Rodgers missed much of substance by not attending mandatory minicamp, the optics weren't good considering how heavily the Jets are relying on him to turn things around.

New York has the longest active playoff drought in the NFL at 13 seasons, and with Rodgers out last season, the Jets went 7-10 behind mediocre quarterback play from Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian.

The Jets improved their backup quarterback situation for 2024 by signing veteran Tyrod Taylor, but if Rodgers isn't healthy and productive this season, it could mean a 14th consecutive year without the postseason for Gang Green.

Well of course (duh!), but there's a reason it's free and Max is a god among men for that.  Paying to remove ads is great if you appreciate the experience enough already (and as a way of supporting the site to show that) but the content is always available.

Now if we could pay to put a limiter on @Sperm Edwards posts to cap them at 1,000 characters...now that would be something.

yes we already know this - we aren't the target for this article it's for the fans of the other 31 teams who aren't invested in the Jets emotionally and like to go LOL Jets

The AFC is stacked and the Jets don't know how to win football games. It's amazing watching people forget this every year only to be reminded 1 quarter into game 1

They don’t know how to win games?  Who does and then they do.  Did the Bills or whoever after 17 non playoff years?  Chiefs?  Lions?

Who has the better roster in the AFCE?

Disarray is where this team eats. They have been no fun since Rex dropped the KSK schtick and they haven't won a goddamn thing either.

Nice try by Reddick's desperate agent.

But all too obvious.

Just curious, b/c I'm not reading beyond the 1st post here and any replies to this, but have the usual suspects here jumped all over this like ants at a picnic?

So 2 months ago, this was going to be super detrimental and meant everything to the season but now?  We're good!  You're special, Matt.  Never change.

Justin Fields is doing very well.  He's happy and healthy and probably, 3 weeks removed from taking over the starting job and leading the Steelers to the Super Bowl?

JUSTIN FIELDS SUCKS

Which begs the question - why wouldn't Tomlin save us 3 weeks of suspense and just start him now

You keep repeating this while even the smoothest of brains knows that not making the playoffs isn’t the only barometer of whether your team is the worst or not.  Stop repeating this as if you win a prize.
And check your math.  Stretching the number of years Salehs been here to make your point sound better is dumb

If we make fun of the source we don't have to address the content of the story, most of which is common knowledge

for years people have been bashing Jets reporters blaming the reporters for wanting clicks and being part of some anti Jets conspiracy

even this Joe D/Saleh Regime which gets so much praise hasn't even had a winning season and we're in year 5/6

lets be real the Jets aren't well run, the organization is somewhat a joke, Aaron Rodgers is WASHED the Vegas over under is 9.5 wins and everyone's expecting a Super Bowl.

does that just about cover it?

oh wait please delve into my character and resume so they can prove I'm an a$$hole

same thing people did when I said Zach Wilson sucked before he got drafted

you can bash the source that doesn't change basic facts

You're obviously desperate to be heard from your Jets QAnon lair, but you do realize that you're choosing to pile on to a heaping mound of dogsh*t... just poor judgment all around.

I mean they won 7 games last year with no OLine or QB. Now we have an all time great QB and beefed up OLine I think I they are ready to win some games? But if you’re not excited about this team I don’t know if you’ll ever be excited about a Jets team?

He wanted Carr.  Nuff said.

It would be more accurate to say that they have been the worst (or among the worst) teams in sports. That doesn't necessarily say anything definitive about this year's team. You seem to be focused a lot on what Parcells used to call "decade stuff" - You could end up being right, but failures from previous Jets teams have no direct bearing on this year's team.

JD/Saleh regime started in 2021. They have  run the team for 3 full seasons together.

1) The Jets currently have the same win total (9.5) as the Packers, Dolphins, and Texans, and interestingly, are now favored to win the division (even though the Bills have a higher win total at 10.5). It seems like Vegas at least has them "in the mix"

2) How many people are actually predicting a Super Bowl? I've seen this claim made a few times on here. I can count on one hand the number of people who I have actually seen pick the Jets to win the Super Bowl. Teams like the Chiefs, Lions, Ravens, Texans, Packers, and Bengals are much more popular picks. How is it that you have "everyone" expecting a Super Bowl?

A lot of people on here first-guessed that Zach Wilson was a bad pick. You aren't alone there.

Here's the Daily Mail Online version of it.  It's even worse than The Athletic version.  Utter BS.  It's clearly Tory Dandy or Jimmy Sexton of CAA.  Eff them and eff Reddick. I hope that he never plays another down in the NFL, and I hope they lose all their clients and go broke.

Aaron Rodgers isn't a team leader and the Jets are in 'complete disarray' ahead of the new season, claims NFL agent

By Alastair Talbot

Published: 11:12 EDT, 29 August 2024

An anonymous NFL agent has warned Jets fans that their team might not turn out as good as they think with Aaron Rodgers back from injury this fall, as they claimed that the locker room culture in Florham Park is in utter shambles.

Speaking to The Athletic ahead of New York's first game of the season against the 49ers on Sept. 9, the agent told The Athletic: 'There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him?

'He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe in the building is terrible.'

Rodgers, 40, joined the Jets as part of a blockbuster trade with the Packers prior to the 2023 season, but the quarterback suffered a season-ending injury (torn Achilles) on the Jets' first snaps of the campaign.

Now, the Jets are solely relying on the idea that Rodgers will be able to come back and play at a high level - the one that previously earned him four NFL MVP awards - despite his age and the significance of the injury he is returning form.

Rumors of Rodgers' overbearing influence on the Jets came to surface before he was even officially traded to the 1968 Super Bowl champions.

In March 2023, The Athletic reported that Rodgers gave the Jets front office a 'wish list' of the players he wanted them to acquire, including wide receiver Allen Lazard, Odell Beckham Jr and Randall Cobb, and tight end Marcedes Lewis.

Rodgers slammed the report, describing it as 'ridiculous,' although Lazard and Cobb did end up joining Gang Green.

It was also widely expected that Rodgers would have been fully invested in the Jets' offseason program this summer after missing essentially the entire 2023 season, but he controversially skipped the team's mandatory minicamp on June 11 and 12.

According to Fox Sports, Rodgers professed that his absence was due to a trip to Egypt, which he claimed to have planned based on last year's minicamp schedule.

The Jets fined Rodgers for his unexcused absence, but the California native played down the importance of missing some minicamp dates during an appearance on Barstool's 'Pardon My Take' podcast.

'They can arbitrarily put a tag on whatever week of OTAs they want and say, ''This is the minicamp week,'' which makes it somehow more mandatory than the other weeks. But it was an OTA schedule. That's how words can be a little deceiving from time to time,' Rodgers said.

'They can make a story out of the fact that I missed minicamp, but it was really two OTA days, but [I] came to the first 10.'

Regardless of the debate about Rodgers' two-day no show at mandatory minicamp, things aren't looking good at 1 Jets Drive considering how heavily the team is relying on the NFL veteran to turn things around.

New York has the longest active playoff drought between in all five major American sports leagues, and with Rodgers spending most of his time in the infirmary last year, the Jets went 7-10 with Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian takings turns as the team's starting quarterback.

The Jets shuffled its quarterback department this offseason by trading Wilson to the Denver Broncos, and releasing Boyle and Siemian. Veteran Tyrod Taylor is now the team's backup after signing with the organization in March.

Only time will tell if a healthy Rodgers will end the Jets' postseason voodoo, or if the they will miss the playoffs for a 14th consecutive year. Let's hope its the former...
