The New York Jets and head coach Rex Ryan have agreed on a multi-year contract extension, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Ryan was lauded for leading this year’s team to an 8-8 record despite many in the media predicting they’d be among the NFL’s worst clubs. Ryan has gone 42-38 since his hire in 2009. He needs to find a quarterback, some receivers, and a competent offensive coaching staff. Marty Mornhinweg will stick around as Gang Green's offensive boss. All massively overblown...Sticking with failing players is a much bigger deal when you're holding someone back rather than just fans imagining greener pastures are always riiiight there waiting. Until someone actually proves it, this has not been the case at one single position. I have absolutely no regrets that I personally did not see McElroy or Simms blowing chunks at the NFL level. The odds are against then even being better than Sanchez or rookie Smith. The attitude is nonsense, nobody gives a sh*t unless they lose. 80% of the whining Jets fans do about coaches is how his attitude should be the opposite of what it is. Yawn. Coming off of 3 years without a winning season, to reward that is not only unnecessary, but asinine. They could have easily let him play out his last year, or given him a one year extension.
