Marshall. More so because of his profile... weeeeellll I need to see medicals. I just found out that Terrace had a bit of stress fracture or something this year. Think he was banged up earlier at LSU too. All things being equal I like Marshall just a smidge more but thats a real flavour of the day question.

I think it really depends who the Jets manage to land in FA. If they bring in someone like Curtis Samuel, Marshall. If they manage to land someone on the Robinson/Golladay spectrum, Moore. Godwin’s kind of a middle ground and I’m sure they’ll end up messing with me and bringing in Corey Davis.

I think Marshall’s a more prototypical big do everything receiver but Moore is someone who I think you can use in gadget-y ways as he develops. That being the case I think Moore is more useful early, especially in an offense that tends to really pepper one guy - I can’t imagine the Jets decide Marshall’s going to be their #1 pass game target at pick 34 and just ignore that need through FA and earlier in the draft. But I like Marshall a lot.

This is me keeping Sam Darnold and building around him with the picks we have.  Then I did another sight with the same idea of keeping Darnold and best player available.:

2: R1 P2 OT Penei Sewell - Oregon
23: R1 P23 RB Travis Etienne - Clemson
34: R2 P2 G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State
66: R3 P2 WR Terrace Marshall Jr. - LSU
86: R3 P22 C Josh Myers - Ohio State
107: R4 P2 OT Daniel Faalele - Minnesota
147: R5 P2 LB Dylan Moses - Alabama
155: R5 P10 EDGE Joshua Kaindoh - Florida State
188: R6 P2 S James Wiggins - Cincinnati

Traded down from 2 to 5, and picked up 38, 111, and their 2021 No. 1. Traded 38 & 107 to Jax for 45 & 65. Traded 66 & 147 to Houston for 67 & 122. And picked up Cleveland's and Detroit's 2021 4th rounders with minor deals. Ended up with this haul:

5: Wilson

23: Vera-Tucker

34: Terrace Marshall

45: Greg Newsome II

65: Javonte Williams

67: Patrick Jones

89: Quinn Meinerz

111: Shaun Wade

122: Shi Smith

247: Isaiah McDuffie

Pretty bullet proof mock, no? QB, OG who can shift to RT in 2022, WR, CB, RB, Edge, developmental OC/OG, S, slot WR, OLB. Honestly, didn't love spending a high 3 on a RB in the Shanahan system, but if Williams is actually there in the third you'd have to pull the trigger, no?

All of which is a pipe dream because the Jets can't trade back from 2 if they're moving on from Sam. Gotta take your guy there, not pray that he falls to you at 5.

Trade down to 3 w/Fins picking up 18, then to 7 w/Lions. We get a top QB, two top pass rushers and arguably the best G & C in the draft.

The problem with this that people don't seem to get is you can't move a natural LT to RT... either Sewell or Becton (who was borderline pro bowl). 1 reason = major wage gap difference, resulting in this elite LT playing out of position and being disgruntled... you just don't draft a RT in the top 5-10... you just don't. It's not a video game where you can just magically plug and play guys like that and move them around however you like. There are tackles who should be moved to guard at the pro level - like that guy from Clemson, or if they don't have good lateral movement you may move them to the right side (but they wouldn't be drafted in the top 10. Jets fans need to get Sewell out of their head.

Becton played both RT and LT in college.
