PepPep
These are fun and all but so many of these are unrealistic and a lot of the selections are not great fits for the offensive and defensive systems we're going to see Saleh, Ulbrich and LaFleur implement. Also, trades are so difficult to predict. For example, it's way harder to pull off a trade to move to #5 with the Bengals and then again to #8 with the Panthers than in may seem. Even if the Bengals want Sewell and Carolina wants a QB. The Bengals not only have to be ready to part with all the draft capital but they have to be near certain that NY, Miami or Atlanta will take Sewell- right now it looks like all are slated to take someone else, lol. Anyway, having said that, here is my own very much realistic mock. No trades, although I would not be surprised if JD moved down at least once after taking his QB at #2. Rd. 1- Fields Rd. 1 (Seattle)- Marshall, Jr.: Maybe Marshall goes earlier but I doubt it. He should definitely be around in this range. Rd. 2- Jalen Mayfield: Maybe he goes at the end of Rd. 1 but odds are he is still available in the top of Rd. 2. Rd. 3- Patrick Jones: Biggest possible stretch. Pat Jones could very well go in Rd. 2. This is where a Darnold trade for a second rounder would pay significant dividends. But there's a lot of tier two pass rushers in this draft. You could very well see him slipping to the second pick in Rd. 3. Rd. 3 (Seattle)- Jabril Cox/Chazz Surratt: This is the 22nd pick in the 3rd round. Now, I know Cox is rated higher than Surratt. Either one of these guys would be great. If Cox is gone, I would take Surratt. Rd. 4- Paulson Adebo- Adebo will be looked at as a scheme-specific outside only, zone-heavy CB. He's coming off injury and lacks elite speed and man-coverage skills. Which is why he will fall to Rd. 4. Otherwise, he is a fantastic prospect. A long. athletic, smart, ball-hawking CB who tackles well. He's a perfect fit for Saleh's defense. *For the record, I had to adjust my original mock here to make sure I get Adebo because there's a good chance he doesn't fall too far past the 2nd pick in Rd. 4. Rd. 5- Kylin Hill- The Jets have the 2nd and 10th pick in Rd. 5. I've heard mixed reviews of Hill but I'm a big fan. He can do it all. RB is not valued early in the draft. I think Najee Harris and Etienne go, then Javonte Williams and Carter, I think Gainwell goes surprisingly early and so does Sermon. We may even see Stevenson go ahead of Kylin Hill if there is a team looking for Derrick Henry 2.0. Hill should be there for the Jets. Rd. 5 (Giants)- Payton Turner- There's probably 15 or so pass rushers ranked ahead of Turner. He's a raw prospect with very little production. However, I would not be surprised to see a team fall in love with his versatility and potential and take him earlier. But again, right now there's no reason to think he won't be available early in Rd. 5 (pick 10). Rd. 6- K.D. Nixon- Originally I had Ihmir Smith-Marsette here. But lets assume he's off the board. Nixon is a speedy slot receiver/returner who will probably end up being an UDFA. He's got fantastic speed, quickness, elusiveness, and athleticism. Just generally an explosive WR with good hands. But he's 5'8, 185. Tiny, stout guy. He will need to carve out a role to make the team. If anyone can make something out of a player like Nixon its LaFleur. Rd. 7- Zach Davidson- Another guy that will probably end up being an UDFA. Small school pass catching TE. Great size at 6'6, 245, great speed and hands. Developmental athletic receiving weapon for LaFleur at TE.

nycdan
I ran a bunch of simulations (for whatever they are worth). I always traded down to between #6 and #9 to see how things panned out. I always picked up at least a 2021 2nd and 2022 1st plus whatever else I could get. What I found is that I almost always had Pitts available, and at #6 I usually had Fields available. Yes, the reality may be different, but even if both are gone, then you still have Chase, Sewell, Waddle and Smith to pick at least one of. That to me, is where the music stops on the top tier. So if you ask me straight up: Would I rather have Wilson at #2 or a good chance of Fields at #6 with Pitts as a consolation prize, plus another 2nd rounder and another 1st rounder next year, I'm taking the latter. Going down another pick or three gives us even more collateral. #9 could probably net us 2021 2nd and 3rd, 2022 1st and 2023 1st or something close to that with a day 2 pick from 2022 or 2023 going back in the deal. I can't say that this type of offer would be there, but even if you prefer Wilson to Fields, you have to ask yourself if you prefer Wilson to Fields plus the extra picks, assuming you're okay with having to 'settle' for Pitts (or Waddle) at that point plus having the most ammo by far of any team next year to move up for a QB if we need to. BklynJetsFan85
Used Draft network with 1 trade for this. RECEIVED Round 3 Pick 80 SENT (Las Vegas Raiders): Round 3 Pick 86 Round 7 Pick 240 Round 1 Pick 2: QB Zach Wilson, BYU Round 1 Pick 23 LG Alijah Vera-Tucker, USC (plug and play) Round 2 Pick 34 RB Javonte Williams, North Carolina (reminds me of Nick Chubb or a more violent Aaron Jones, would even take him at 23... my RB1 of this draft) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ooEOtvuC0U Round 3 Pick 66 WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8ovuSAn3EQ Round 3 Pick 80 TE Brevin Jordan, Miami - Monster RAC ability, very athletic, tough competitor, has drawn comparisons to Jonnu Smith & Evan Engram https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuD6NUVh0V8 Round 4 Pick 107 CB Olijah Griffin, USC - Things that jumped out at me: Coverages: Man Coverage: He does a good job in man coverage. He aligns mostly in press and always remains in phase. He does a good job getting his hands on deflections at the catch point. Zone Coverage: He also does a good job in zone coverage, as evidenced by his ability to easily pass off routes while showing an understanding of safety help. He is instinctive enough to not allow route combinations to pull him away from his responsibilities. Competitive Toughness: This is a hyper-competitive player. He competes hard while in coverage when the ball is in the air. He also demonstrates the toughness to come up and tackle bigger running backs. Round 5 Pick 146 RB Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State - Ideal RB2 in committee... I like him with Williams... could spend this pick somewhere else but I'm not sold on Perine. Things that jump out, and why I like him: Contact Balance: High strength levels in his lower half have allowed him to avoid would-be tacklers even when they made contact with his body. Thick and stout legs and body overall enabled him to take on and avoid the contact dished out by defenses. He incorporates great pad level that allows him to fend off lots of contact and act as if it has little effect on his body. He demonstrates a body and shoulder lean tactic that helps him remain moving forward through contact. Explosiveness: He operates very well in tight spaces with the functional mobility to avoid quickly changing avenues. He's patient and able to avoid incoming collisions or defenders that are seeking and entering the box to wreak havoc. Hubbard is above average with taking the easy yardage that’s offered to him, but his quick mind plus body reactions enable him to pick up extra yards in tight spaces. Discipline: He understands the importance of blocking schemes and isn’t a runner that just runs just to be running. He's aware of how and where pullers are expected to maneuver and assignments that they are tasked with. He's able to remain patient, but accelerate once getting a proper read from blockers ahead of him. He has above-average vision and hardly ever misses running lanes when they appear. He allows holes to form and isn’t impatient with allowing them to develop. Round 5 Pick 154 EDGE Chauncey Gholston, Iowa - Developmental guy, Early down rotational player/4-3 base defender Round 6 Pick 196 WR Jaelon Darden, North Texas - one of my day 3 draft diamonds. A bit undersized at 5'9 170 (could add maybe 10-15lbs of muscle), great KR/PR/Slot WR prospect, He's a speedster for sure, very slippery, amazing agility, will be breaking ankles all over field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=its_BX11eag

maury77
2 trades in this one. I simulated a Darnold to Washington trade picking up WFT's 2nd rounder in 2021 and a 5th in 2022. I also traded down from 23 with TB and picked up their 2nd rounder. My goal was to address OL and CB early while picking really athletic guys (seems to be a point of emphasis for Douglas)
