in memoriam

Crazy how many guys are out of the league.

Interestingly, that last draft isn't THAT bad.

I'd say it starts to look pretty bad when you consider that most of the guys, while on the roster, struggled to earn playing time on a 2 win team. Quinnen and Austin were the only starters, and Austin got benched by the end of the year. Quinnen is probably the only one who would crack the roster of even an 8-8 team.

Just wanted to 1.) remind everyone that every time Maccagnan turned in a card for some never-was like Jordan Leggett, a group of JN’s most distinguished smoothbrains would bray HELL YA BABBY WE FINALLY GOT A REAL GM, and 2.) say that those people should be forced to have EY’s post tattooed on their faces

"If we fire Maccagnan, Woody will just hire another bean counter."

Sort of a brutal reminded that picks =/= talent. Honestly you pretty much could have started at any year since Revis because it’s brutal for a while.

The next two drafts have to hit and hit in areas that matter. They will dictate the fate of this team for the next decade.

Man, talk about in memoriam. What happened to that guy?

Max got rid of him when he started a thread comparing the Jets to a "crippled child."

Really one of the more vile things I've read on this board.

Edited to Add: I don't think I ever have seen, or will ever see again, Max just say, "**** you" to a poster.

well it seemed like every year the ny post (and maneesh) gave high marks to the jets for the free agents and draft picks.  i'm sure the espn clowns like greeney were also shoveling out heaps of praise.  and even when mac got hired the big thing was that he was a scout with the texans and knew players.  apparently it was all fake journalism.  and you know what?  for casual fans like myself this is what we mostly go on.
