Popular Post Beerfish
The old excuse of putting on weight if you are hurt and not able to work out is lame for a pro athlete. You may not be able to get into game shape but as a pro you should be able to keep the weight in line and perhaps even use it as a chance to change eating habits. If you are pro this is not an issue even if you are a large guy. If you are not dedicated to your profession then it becomes an issue.

It doesn't provide any new information. The knee injury took longer to heal than expected and as a result, Becton is not in football shape. That was the same facts we had back in November. He's got 6 months to get ready for 2022. I would think Jets fans would wish him luck, not hope he fails just so they can say " I knew it." Again. 3 1 1
Joe Willie White Shoes
It's amazing that some of the same "fans" want to trade Becton and sign Antonio Brown or Calvin Ridley or OBJ.
Popular Post munchmemory
After getting rolled up on, Wirfs actually came back into today's game and "tried to give it a go". Anyone here actually believing Becton would have done this? He went off last year twice for "the sniffles" and "getting winded". 7 1

Gase inexplicably elected to have him dress, but not start. When the back up LT was injured early in the game, Becton went in and played - injured. Not surprisingly, he injured the shoulder in the game. So - yes. Becton has given it a go at less than 100%. 9

mrcoops
The most important ability for NFL players is availability. So far, the signs are that Becton doesn't have it. Could be because his body is just too large to stay healthy, could be because he taps out too readily (6 different times in games during his rookie year, for a range of reasons), could just be bad luck. Whatever it is, it's a worry and something he has to overcome if he wants to have a productive pro career.

Peace Frog
So nothing has changed other than the posting of another click bait article and that’s what prompted you to start this thread? Popular Post Joe Willie White Shoes
Is Christian McCaffrey lazy and does he hate football? He missed most of the last two season with minor nicks and dings - a strained hamstring that was supposed to be a 2 week injury and ended up being 8 weeks - a minor shoulder injury that lasted weeks and on and on. Does he hate football? Did he lose desire after getting his big contract? I could name dozens of players that do not recover from injuries as expected. How about we see how he looks next season? 4 2
Ghost420
Seems like a big guy who got hurt and couldn't workout while rehabbing his knee which caused his weight to rise. If he comes into next season in shape and stays om the field this means nothing.

Popular Post FootballLove
We all probably should have respected D'Brick a tiny bit more than we did for playing 4,543,221 snaps in a row, never missing a single game/series/snap in 10 years. He was pulled on one play for a trick play...that's it. Becton needs to be more like D'Brick. For sure. 5

What's the point of this thread other than to whine and bitch about something that has been whined and bitched about all seasons? Guys like Becton and Mims will be in camp next year. It'll be their 3rd year as pros. If they show their ability and outshine others, they'll play. If not, they won't and will be benched, traded or cut. Why is there any new thread on this??
