Offensive coaching staff. This team knows they have to be nearly perfect to get 20+ points, yet the penalties continuously ruin games. This was a pathetic and embarrassing loss that basically shows this team is not relevant.

It's not a cop out. You're asking us to assign blame to a single person for a whole-organization disaster. I could give Woody the most blame for hiring JD, or JD for hiring Saleh, or Saleh for being a piece of crap. I could blame Zach for being a piece of crap, but he was far from the only problem. JD has also drafted and signed some really good players, and the defense is doing well. The issues cannot be assigned to one person, and the majority of it cannot be put on one person without exact knowledge of how the Jets operate their team to the tiniest details.

TL;DR it's a team issue, and pointless to assign blame to one person.

However, in this game, we should have been up at least 13-3, but a dumb penalty took 6 off the board and changed the complexion of the game

dumb penalties also killed us against the Giants and Chargers. dumb penalties kept the raiders in the game in the first half

Douglas. This team is failing with his handpicked quarterback and head coach.

Douglas is horrific.  One decent year out of five, that has found to be a total outlier, as he's otherwise consistently been one of the worst at his job in the league.  He continues to repeat the same mistakes over and over and over again, learning absolutely nothing, even regularly doubling down on the same failures.  He's also directly responsible for all of the hires below him as well, so still has fault for that as well.

The infatuation for the guy never made sense from the beginning, but the reality is the rest of the NFL didn't see it when he kept interviewing for GM jobs and got rejected over and over again, including every other team who was hiring and passed on him that same year.  He has to be the very first one to go, and then lots of folks can follow him from there.

I know the buck stops with Woody Johnson, but it’s a given that the man is gerbil. Joe Douglas is the boss of football operations. This entire mess is his creation, his personal Frankenstein monster.  He picked Wilson, picked Saleh, came up with the grand plan of turning the keys to the franchise over to Aaron Rodgers without a viable backup plan.  The goodwill he built for the 2022 draft is now toast. Joe D is the latest flat out idiot in a long, long line of idiot Jets GMs. He needs to be fired so we can move on to the next idiot.
