Looking for some cuts, restructures, pay cuts in the next few days.  I think JD needs 40 million to revamp the team but may only get to 30 million

saw this rumor man this place is going to be wild next week if this is the move out of the gate 😂

The Jets signed Isiah Oliver. So, there’s that.

Just read that. Sounds like a decent signing. 1 yr deal. I like the fact that he's 6'  202 lbs. . Had 1 pick and 2 PD last year.

Mosley restructure will go down to last minute. If Mosley balks, hold onto him until the draft and cut him afterwards. Use his savings for rookie contracts, camp cuts & in-season acquisitions

I agree ..but i would like to find a way to keep him around somehow (maybe not as the starter)... his leadership is impressive.

You would think that what he has earned vs. the services he provided, he could help the team out for once!

Now that’s leadership!

Jets putting this out now to set the expectation. The reality is they’re not going to be able to sign anyone worth anything

Gotta try to control the narrative that players are reluctant to sign deal for a GM on the hot seat dishing out deals that his successor is gonna jettison as soon as he's hired in an organization that's lampooned as dysfunctional.

A Christmas Story Fudge GIF

We need an Alan Faneca + Damien Woody type offseason, but instead, we're gonna get the 2024 iteration of Curtis Conway and Brent Smith.

This isn’t it. Money rules all.

The players who sign in the first couple days are over priced. The Jets want their FA targets to hang around some so the price drops.

Money talks ..

Rodgers might have some influence with some vets.

Why wouldn’t Tyron Smith sign a 1 year deal with the Jets at a premium.  He’s a guy with some injury question marks that might not land a multi year deal elsewhere.

A guy like Ridley might bet on 1 year with Rodgers to improve his market next year.

There are some situations that could work.

They’ll likely sign a guard. Maybe Boyd at receiver. Tannehill to be the backup QB.

Figured that one out, did ya? Now let's put our thinking caps on..

The players.. if cut.. get less money so the Jets would need to give out much higher guaranteed money which makes the cap less flexible thus making it difficult to sign players.

Yeah who needs tackles and Gs anyway, WRs? phfff, Safeties shmafeties....we got it covered with top 10 pick and all the FA in the world don't even come close to the value of just 1 of Bob Salehs inspirational masterpieces against a large contingent of UDFAs.

Yea, that’s not how it works. The guarantee cap hits can be back loaded, if needed.

The market provides their guaranteed worth.
