Free 6th rd pick for Pats

Recommended Posts

Even 100% healthy, he moves like he has a pulled hammy anyway.

Can't separate.

No, this was a stroke of genius. Team releases a guy and then brings him back so instead of getting him for nothing, trade a pick for him. Vedvik, Kahlil, now Thomas. Great streak we are on.

A 6th round pick could be ammo to trade up for a player that could be useful. It’s not always about the selection.

A 6th round pick is worthless in a trade.

I’m not sure how anyone can judge the WRs, considering how badly the offensive line and first QB played

What happened to DT tonight? I missed it

Probably saw the dumpster fire he's joined and pulled a hamstring to get away from it.

Missed the second half with a hamstring injury.

Douglass has not been good. Just seriously questionable decisions. How the hell did Thomas pass the physical? It's a bit frightening.

I think it's fairly clear that Gase went to Douglas after week 1 and told Douglas that Gase needed a veteran wide receiver who knew the offence Gase wanted to implement.

It's not a great start for Douglas, but I'll cut him some slack on this one because I'm 99% sure that this was a trade driven by the head coach that Douglas simply executed.

And we shouldn't forget that, unlike previous marriages between head coaches and GMs here at the Jets, Gase forced out the GM and ensured that only those who applied for the role were prepared to respect Gase's authority over the roster.

Seriously you guys?  What has he had to work with?

Give your heads a collective shake on this one.

You defended Mac for years and now you defend the guy who signed Vedvik and traded a pick for a clearly done WR

6th round picks are 95% of the time garbage and a non roster player. Who gives a sh*t? At least they're trying to get good in here. Mac would've tried to sell Bellamy as the answer.

With where the Jets are going to be drafting it’s essentially a late 5th rounder. That’s a valuable pick. Wasting that on Thomas was dumb. Obviously it’s Douglas’s job to get better but it’s not going to happen with moves like this.
