Sam “ Wheeler” Darnold.   Any Met fan can tell you what that means.   Zack Wheeler when the season over - can look a lot different with the pressure off.    The key is playing well when it still matters, and not when the season is over with.

STOP shouldn't you be getting your Raider makeup and halloween costume ready for the big game.

Watch out for Dion Jordan  6 ‘ 6 275 -  had one sack last week in very limited snaps  , despite being very rusty .  ( that’s missing 10 weeks serving a suspension) .   Raiders just signed him last week , but he’s in tremendous shape.   ( the guy who I think might explode this Sunday) .

Dion Jordan has sucked for 6 years.  But now hes going to be good this Sunday??

What nonsense.

Is Gruden going to call the good plays though?

Gruden has very good play designs.  He will show you something in the first half ( out of certain formations) and with the game on the line in the second  ( exact same formation - do something totally different.( constantly adding new wrinkles to offense).  The Raiders will play with a lot different personnel.  You can see anything from three Te’s , to wide range of other personnel groups.

Gruden is very conservative .   He could be playing the 86 Bears defense, and he’s going to run the football. The  Jets will get a heavy dose of Josh Jacobs this Sunday - no doubt about that.

D Carr reads NFL defenses very well, he has totally power to change the call at the line of scrimmage.  ( you will see him constantly change the play at the line of scrimmage whatever he sees from defense).

three weeks ago I'd have predicted the Raiders absolutely smoke this Jets team

but now, seeing the last 2 games of Jets football, and the Raiders 14-7 at home vs Cin, I predict it will be a good game

The Jets Oline looked way better with Tom Compton at RG and Harrison at C. Winters is lauded for his toughness but he's been holding this line back for seasons with his playing through injuries. meanwhile Sam found his swag and Jamal Adams is straight up changing games from the SS position.

as for Oakland they have to travel 3000 miles for a 1 pm east coast start in the cold/rain. Carr is super conservative with the football but also not a ton of offense. They love to run the ball but the Jets own the # 1 run D in football. The Jets have somehow found a man to man CB in Bless Austin.

prediction it's going to be a close competitive game and the Raiders could be down early - the Jets lose on a Ficken miss FG or something dumb but not a blow out (and they could even win outright)

Keep talking nonsense.   Just because you keep repeating the same lie, means it’s going to change anything - make it true .    Another loss to the Raiders.

What was the team that destroyed the Jets recently in the middle of the field.    Well it’s going to be much worse with the Raiders personnel.    Have ORoy RBs Josh Jacobs . Stud Rookie Fb Alec Ingold.  When you see either Rb Jalen Richard or Deandre Washington In the backfield there is a good chance they are coming in to be mismatches in the passing game.

They have three Tes that are very unique- all can both block and catch .  ( Waller, Moreau , and Carrier) They can play all three Te’s at once.   Two Te’s formations with Waller, and Moreau  , with D Carrier as  h-back . ( very tough matchup problems)       While they don’t have a true number 1 Wr , they have nice array of Wrs. ( Tyrell Williams6’4 205 , Zay Jones , Hunter Renfrow - becomes bigger part of the offense every week ( third down specialist) M Ateman 6’4 220 - big physical Wr who very good run blocker also)

Raiders might have DRoy also Maxx Crosby seriously in the running to win that award too.( kids coming on every week- has chance to fatten up on the Jets  offense line)

Tone it down.

Do you know the difference between a veteran roster, versus a very young inexperienced roster .   This was a total rebuild job Gruden elected to do.( his second season)   The betting line was 6 win season for the Raiders.       The Raiders draft class has exceeded everyone expectations , as they really hit on home run on most of these picks.   ( speading up the rebuild process) .

If you understand J Gruden conservative  game plan - the games are usually going to be close.   It’s the way they play.   They are going to run the football against anyone.  ( the reason they are top three on third downs is because they don’t have that many third and longs.    They eat up a lot of time of possession .
They have a lot of young talent everywhere on defense, but they are trying to break it in at very important positions.  Cb for example,   Rookie second round Trayvon Mullen has assumed a starting position.( going to be a good one but only his third start .Rookie   Isaiah Johnson 4th round is just coming back from face fracture  experience in third play in the first preseason game- might eventually be better than Mullens , but is much rawer than Mullens too. ( his playing time should start to increase) K Nixon Eanother rookie is starting to get more minutes.       When you are trying to break in that many young players at the same time , your going to experience growing pains.  It’s a fine balance trying to win games, and trying to develop these young players at the same time.

Raiders make the playoffs , and it’s a great year.

Weird spacing issues bro, I think you need a new typewriter.

The Raiders run two , and sometime three Te sets.   All their RBs ( Jacobs, Richard, and Washington) , and Fb( Alec Ingold) are all good receivers.  Raiders have some big Wr T Williams 6’4 205 , M Ateman 6’4 215 , and little  Hunter Renfrow who does his damage in space.

Let it Rain , let it be cold , and wet because Carr can throw the 5-15 passes all day.

Now throw in the fact the Raiders have two Te’s That are excellent blockers , (can block de one on one), one of the best Fb Alec Ingold , a very big bad offense line, and  last the ORoY RBs Josh Jacobs.

The weather doesn’t effect this Raider team , as they are built to thrive in those weather conditions.

Does this look like a team that can’t handle the weather conditions.

West coming east at 1pm is tough.

Not for Gruden grinders.   The Raiders have traveled more than any team in the NFL this year.  They have made a lot of trip this year (West to East ) to play at 1:00 eastern time.   I think this young team will be ready to play this Sunday. ( under any weather conditions).

I ask you to look at the 2018 and 2019 seasons.  Look at the Raiders on the road-  2 wins in 2 years, that's pretty concerning.  The Jets are actually better than that with 3.  Both Raider wins came in domes.

Translation:  The Raiders are a warm weather team, only slightly above average, only slightly better than the Jets, and their Achilles heel is cold weather in outdoor stadiums.

Couple of points.  The question you said Carr doesn’t like  cold, wind, and the Wet. What does  that have to do with wins and losses.  Offense  could have done its job, only to lose the game because defense couldn’t stop anyone.

Second who cares about what happened in 2018 , as the 2019 roster is radically different on both sides of the ball .  On offense - Carr, and three offense lineman are left from 2018. ( totally rebuilt).

The offense that they were suppose to be with Antonio Brown, and JJ Nelson might have been effected with the cold , wind, and cold.( much deeper passing attack coming from the West to the East.

Not the Raiders offense now that relies on its Te’s ( three of them), it’s running game , and it’s big powerful offense line.  Again Carr can throw the 5-15 yards passes all day in the cold , and wind.   ( that was my point, and it’s true).   The Wr Corp T Williams, M Ateman, Zay Jones( played in Buffalo) , and H Renfrow( catches everything ) games aren’t going to be effected by cold, and wind either.

The wind+ wet  hurts the Jets game more than than the Raiders( you don’t run the ball well, and takes R Anderson strength away. Carr has over 70 % completion percentage this year , and has much quicker release than Darnold.      The Raiders can dink, and dunk the Jets defense all day if they have to.

We gotta piss in a cup or something to get thru the gates on Sunday? What's this all about?  I'm with Le'Veon....no more tests!

Piss and the Jets ???  Brings me all the way back to Shae Stadium.   My father started taking me to games back in 1980 when I was just a pup.  Our tickets were in the mezzanines.  Back then at Shae, it was a much different experience from being at MetLife Stadium.  At Shae circa 1980, there were drunks all over the stadium.  Fights would be breaking out everywhere.  There were guys that looked like Rocky's pal Pauley.  They all had paper bags with a bottle of booze to sip on, and they all yelled out the same thing at the players.... "YOU BUM !!!! YOU BUM !!!" At a game in December, I even saw two drunken guys dressed as Santa Claus having a fist fight over who was the real Santa...  And PISS... Yes... PISS.  If you went out on the concourse in the mezzanines during half time, you had to make sure you didn't get too close to the outside wall.  There were drunks that would PISS off of the upper deck.  You'd get splashed by the streams of PISS that would be cascading down. I wont even go into what the bathrooms were like...

How's that for a litmus test ???

Dion Jordan is a pussy and a coward. It was his MO in college, in Miami, and everywhere hes ever been

 LOL

Dion Jordan and Te Darren Waller both never reached their true potential earlier in their career ,  due to the fact both had serious  substance abuse problem .    So it’s immaterial what either did , or were in their past, but what they are now - sober.

Personally I don’t like the fact they play Dion Jordan inside ( Dt) on the passing downs.  I think they should have four man rotation at De M Crosby, c Ferrell, B Mayowa( sack leader) and D Jordan.   ( I would deactivate j Mauro - whose just one dimensional run stuffer , who offers no pass rush).

They should have four man rotation at Dt Pj Hall - teams Better double team ( tremendous strength , and quickness) , Johnathan Hankins , and M Hurst( better pass rush than run defender) , and old Man Terrell McClain . Pj Hall , and M Hurst should be the Dt’s on passing downs. ( by playing D Jordan inside they are stealing valuable minutes from each player).

Another thing that bothers me, is  I don’t want to see #35 Curtis Riley on the field for anything other than special teams.   Definitely want to see more of # 31 Isaiah Johnston in the sub packages . ( very raw, but eventually could be their best cb).
