flgreen
I think the Jets will be in on one early, big overpay. Thuney just might be it.

A full court press is in order for him. Signing with the Jag's or Giant's would be a big loss in my book for JD. He needs to sell the Jet's future to him, and cough up some big money. Can focus on building the rest of the team. Giving a rookie QB an offensive line like that goes a long way in his development 5
IndianaJet
I suspect he'll be one of the first to agree to a deal, so by this time next week we should know one way or the other. I fully expect JD to make a full court press. I mean the guy is a perfect fit for what we need and the scheme we are going to run.

CanadaSteve
OH BOY! Can't wait for the FIRE JD threads when we don't get Thuney. Free agency is always a fun time to be a Jets fan.

playtowinthegame
Will Thuney want to play for the Jets if another team is offering close to the Jets offer? I doubt it. I'm already prepared for rejection. Lol
Icer
Don't get your hopes up for Thuney or Linsley. JD is a bargain bin shopper

Columbia Jet Fan
I'd guess we're competing with two other teams - Jags & Bengals. Bengals have the hometown thing working for them, Jags have no state income tax. All three teams can throw the bag at him - will be interesting to see if JD can do some recruiting. Matt39
Granted the Jets need to spend some money this off-season, but on a guard? Ehh.

This is a legit buyer beware factor. I literally laughed when the giants gave all that money to nate solder. Also a reason for teams to steer clear of Stephon Gilmore. A dozen teams will be after thuney.
sourceworx
Let's throw big bucks at a Patriots O-Lineman. That's worked out well for teams in the past...

ScarletKnight89
At some point JD has to open up the wallet and spend. Thuney would be a perfect target.
kdels62
The money hype on Thuney is worrying. I just hope that Douglas will be able to pívot to a guy like Zeitler if he becomes available and Thuney balks at our offer.

Washington tagging Scherff & making Thuney the undisputed best G on the market in a offensive line hungry league has made it really difficult for me to see the Jets coming away with him unless he’s just really interested in making a ton of money in a big market.
