Should put to rest once and for all that exposure to bad coaching “ruins a player FOREVER” arguments.

Darnold fumbling away (literally AND figuratively) his chances at winning the job in Carolina long-term was all Adam Gase’s fault dude

Just stop.

Urban Meyer barely could have even been considered a coach.  He didn’t even travel back to Jacksonville with his team after road games that’s unheard of in any sport by any coach.  To call Urban Meyer an empty suit would be an insult to empty suits

And what has Lefleur done to be considered worst offensive coordinator ever?  He didn’t make Zach Wilson good?  I guess that would make him not God.

Sign Wentz or Foles already.  Ugh

I wasn’t wrong for touting a QB before, during, and after he became an epic bust and insulting everyone who disagrees — he was ruined for all time by that bad OC his rookie year!!!

The Darnold thing is funny. Gase ruined him after he sucked under Bowles. Retroactive ruin!

No no.  He was PRE-ruined under Bowles, then FULLY ruined under Gase.  Rhule and Joe Brady then finished the job and Kyle Shanahan is left to pick up the pieces.  But there's still hope!!!

lawrence had his set backs but made the leap wilson never did.  got to change with the facts on the ground. WIlson needs work, while lawrence looked like he put it together. But even when it was rough for him he was still scoring points.

And many of them still refuse to give up the ghost a year later with Lawrence taking a giant leap and Zach taking (another) giant dook in his pants.
Lawrence had a coaching change for the better .. hoping the same w/ Zachatron.

Zach has now sucked two years and was outperformed by a 6th round guy who has bounced around practice squads for 3 years. His range of likely outcomes has dramatically narrowed as compared to both Trevor and Zach after their rookie years.

So was Trevor sucking before last year incorrect for blaming the coaching staff ???

Even in his sh*t rookie year, Lawrence still had Wilson beat in:

  • TDs (12-9)
  • Completion % (59.6 to 55.6)
  • QB Rating (71.9 to 69.7)
  • QBR (33.5 to 28.2)
  • Yards per Game (214.2 to 179.5)
  • INT % (2.8 to 2.9)
  • Sack % (5.0 to 10.3)
  • Game-winning drives (2-1)
  • Net Yards per Pass Attempt (5.37 to 4.60)
  • Adjust Net Yards per Pass Attempt (4.54 to 3.86)
  • On Target % (71.3 to 69.9)
  • Bad Throw % (20.5 to 23.8)
  • Play Action Passing Yards per play (8.2 to 5.8)

And its funny how Lawrence "sucked" his rookie year but Zach Wilson didn't in your eyes.  Other teams' QBs suck.  Zach has excuses.

He's only halfway thru his rookie deal.  No, it is not "beating a dead horse".  It is just quite a few folks who were wrong but don't want to hear it.

Never said Zach didn't suck his 1st year .. his Sack numbers indicate inferior line play which was confirmed by Mike White's hospital visit.

Sacks are a QB stat for a reason dude.  White's Sack % in his Jet career was only 4.1 %.  Wilson's 9.7 %.  And White never got to play with AVT.

Half-retired human statue Joe Flacco's Sack %?  4.5 in 2021 and 5.0 in 2022.  Josh Johnson's was 4.3.

Ah right.  As if Zach stans wouldn't be calling for Urban to be arrested if he were Zach's coach.  Instead its just "Trevor sucked balls" with no excuses given.

And even still....

So there was no evidence whatsoever, at any point in their respective careers, that Zach Wilson would be better than Trevor Lawrence.

Hence that laughter at the 24 Zach voters, most of which based their votes entirely on hope and feelings.

I never said Zach didn't. I'm pointing out that you said he had a terrible coach, and it clearly showed. I could go into how the Jaguars probably had a better offense and defense than the Jets, but that's pointless, because Lawrence is clearly better now.

The 2021 Jaguars?  The ones who lost Etienne for the year shortly before the season started and were 28th in the league in points allowed per game?

Jets were 32nd in points allowed per game

Jaguars had James Robinson too for most of that season. Jets best player was Michael Carter. OL was devistated.

So basically there was no difference?

Jaguars had it a little worse, not to mention their coach absolutely sucked.

But again, it's pointless because Lawrence carried his team to the playoffs and Zach still can't throw straight.

Trevor had to deal with literally the most epic dysfunctional coaching train wreck since Bobby Petrino walked out on the Falcons 13 games into his tenure to run back to college and coach Arkansas… a job he was later fired from for getting into a motorcycle accident with his grad student mistress and trying to pay people off to keep it hushed up.

Yet, Lawrence was still better than Zach.

Let what go?  The possibility that we’re one injury away from a sh*t QB being forced into action?  You’re trying to pretend he’s off the team or something.
