This is not on Zach.

Can you guys maybe look at the entire body of work?

Are you talking about his career or game today?

If you're taking about games - NFL games are like this - QB's are up and down through games.  Was Zach great today, of course not.  after the INT he fell apart again...but he found his footing again when it mattered.

Did Zach do enough to win the game? absolutely.   He had the team in a position to win - D needed a stop.

Zach, made the plays he needed to make when he needed to make them.  that's just the realty.

So I say, could he have been better - for sure.  What he "the reason they lost" absolutely not.

The guy put the team in the lead and the defense gave up a preposterous touchdown, then he made a wacky play and the kicker missed. Not a stellar game but he put his teammates in a position to win multiple times and they didn't do much either. And he did this after the whole team, city, and media ostracized him for a month. Actually gained a little more respect for the guy today, he shut up and did his best and that's about anyone could ask for.

If he's not able to play after being criticized for poor play, then he should not be in the NFL? He has been, for most of his career, the worst QB in the NFL.

He was very up and down today, but his playmakers came up big. You can point to maybe 2-3 good throws during the game. He's still missing screen / swing passes, he's still regularly sailing the ball, and he still makes really questionable decisions. Hell, if Carter doesn't come up with that stupid catch, he prolly has 2 ints today.

13 points ??? Who gives a damn they sh*t the bed when it matters most to a damn 3rd String BUM for 60 yards ….. first catch of the game

Unreal. Do you not understand that it shouldn't have been "when it mattered most"?

Every play of the game for the defense is "when it matters most" when your offense doesn't score.

When the offense hums and looks like it’s supposed to look with Mike White, we score 17 points and lose.

When the offense runs behind Zach and trades consistency for explosion, we score 17 points and lose. Weird, almost like there’s a common denominator skating from blame.

The problem with saying this, is that the jets O keeps failing regardless of who the qb is.  In minny the red zone failures lost the game.  In buffalo they scored 1 td.  Today 17 points.

Here’s the real problem:  the OL is so banged up they can’t run the ball anymore (and they miss breece).  The offense is mostly one dimensional.

Zap was god awful.  His big plays were miracle underthrown moon balls but he still can't hit slants or screens.  White is decent but I think we overrate him because his decent play looks all pro worthy compared to Zip.  Not to mention he sadly can't stay healthy.

The starting QB next year isn't on the roster yet.  At least I hope not.

He was better than he’s been and makes some really exciting plays, but he’s just flawed

not good enough from the pocket - that’s the bottom line to me right now.

maybe down the road he figures it out because the arm talent is electric, but it feels extremely unlikely to happen here with the Jets

I'm not even convinced on arm talent. Saw a number of receivers either stop or come back towards the ball because it was underthrown.

There’s more going on than just who plays qb.

ZW contributed with some bad plays and didn't bail the team out but the team around him sucked all on their own. The defense and special teams were horrible from the beginning. Can't even blame him that poor QB play resulting in a gassed defense.

So wait, the D gave up 13 points today, against a team that scores, on average 25, and they sucked?

Sure, the last drive was terrible, but they did their part.

No he didn’t, or else we would have won. He would have put us in a better position than a 58 yarder and gifted the Lions 3. He is an abomination

Yeah, when there’s less than two minutes left in the game, that’s kind of the time to step up and forget the stats
