Done with this franchise

When I’m pissed in business I write a draft where I tell my counterparty to go eff off and suck donkey balls.   Very therapeutic.   I then leave it in drafts (never enter the address btw just in case of an accidental send) and by the next day it is modified significantly if not downright trashed.   We should have similar feature here, an auto draft mode with time release when key words like “I’m done” are picked up. ?

This is the real beef of fans who are unhappy.  Between trading for rodgers and drafting wilson last year, many here assume he’s a garrett clone.

I think JSN falling to 20 in this weak of a draft class speaks volumes to what GMs thought of this WR class.

Not saying they are right. The run on WRs last year came a full 10 picks earlier.

Exactly.  Also why the OTs got drafted early.  Just not enough star power in this draft.  Will be interesting to see how douglas addresses the OL tonight and tomorrow.  Trading back tonight could allow them to get into the 3rd.

I think this is very fair.  My concern isn't necessarily the player but the type of player and the timing.

You made this move for Rodgers - and, as you stated, this is a weak draft class - then it's probably okay to reach for a position that can help win while you have Rodgers.

Aside from CB this was probably the last need on this team.  An undersized, edge rusher in a heavy rotational defense that can barely get last year's first round edge on the field - along with another undersized exceptional small pass rusher in Huff that plays 20% of the snaps.  It's just entirely illogical.

Help Rodgers and the offense.

Taking this guy really made no sense.  That's what I'm talking about when I say Douglas is lost - it's like he doesn't have a plan, this is the way Mac used to run this team.

I'm not really that unhappy. We need LBs, I just would have preferred a middle over an edge. I am hoping we select another TE, particularly  Meyers. They guy is a sandwich away from being an OL. He will help the run game and he isn't  useless in the pass game.

First, trading a 1st round and 2nd rounder on a 40 year old rental QB.

Then wasting a top pick on a rotational edge guy?

Thats 3 high picks wasted.

Im done with this franchise.

That Qb is Aaron Rodgers. Top pick on edge rusher which forever is what we have wanted. seems to me not really bad way to go especially when you consider draft picks are a crap shoot.

We are literally at the best time our franchise has been since the rex days - forever ago.

And now you want to get off the ship? lol crazy

Probably could've got McDonald in R2 to be fair ?

Not sure about R2, but with the way teams were trading up last night, it is hard to believe that we could not have moved back 5 or 6 spots and still gotten McDonald.  But if he turns out to be the first legit pass rush specialist we have had since Abraham, I am not gonna sweat it at all.

The old “Im done” thread.  I usually bash these but this one is justified.  Joe D got owned by gutenkust then made one of the worst picks in jets draft history.

What have you done Joe Douglas?  What have you done??

Not sure but I’m almost positive it was mostly to spite  you.

Trading a 1 for Doug Jolley only to move him at the end of the season for a 6th has to be mentioned, as well.
