JetNation 2024 Mock Draft - Selections

Recommended Posts

The consensus pick for 49ers at 31 is Jer'Zhan Newton, DT Illinois

Fills one of their bigger needs and corresponds to other mocks I have seen.

If no one new claims the 49ers over the course of the day, then @Paradis will take over.

IMO, it would be good for someone new to put his toes in the water.  Don't worry.  Rex isn't here to play with your toes.

Edgerrin Cooper

Texas A&M · LB · Senior

Cooper is a long, rangy linebacker with excellent speed and coverage ability. Against the pass, he is very smooth in his drops, playing with vision and awareness. He is very comfortable in man coverage and has plenty of speed to carry tight ends up the seam. He is an explosive blitzer and has shown the ability to separate the quarterback from the ball. Against the run, he is quick to fill in the hole and displays stopping power as a tackler. He will have some fly-by missed tackles when in lateral pursuit. Overall, Cooper is an instinctive and explosive prospect who generates a bunch of splash plays. He's ready to start right away, and I believe his best football is still ahead of him.

With the 54th pick (2.22) in the 2024 JN Mock Draft, the Cleveland Browns select...

Malachi Corley, WR Western Kentucky

Unlike Denzel Mims, Corley has the twitchiness, foot quickness, and downhill beast mentality to come in and contribute immediately as a YAC guy and supplement to a run game (with Chubb coming off a multi-ligament tear) lacking in talent and HR hitters.

In year 1, the Browns will, at a bare minimum, be able to use him as a more explosive Elijah Moore replacement on those jet sweeps and quick hitters, WR screens, quick slants, etc.

With proper development, he could hopefully replace Moore (whose contract expires) as the full time slot in 2025.

The comps to Deebo Samuel are easy, but at least with the ball in his hands 🫠 in that #11 jersey, -- Malachi will need to learn to run NFL routes 😂 -- with his power and speed after the catch, the comp came to me of a smaller, lighter poor man's AJ Brown.

Corley will look to continue the tradition of NFL greatness established by WKU legend and NFL HOF'er Mike 💰 F White 🤣🤣

@kdels62 you are on the clock

@heymangold is on deck

@Matt39 / Kapono's uncle 😀 is in the hole
