Heard it about a month ago that he was looking for similar money had his 5th year option been picked up. I like the prospect but for a guy that had 700 yards last year, it will be tough. UntouchableCrew Posted March 6, 2018 Share Posted March 6, 2018 I think it's a really bad sign that the Rams gave up a 2nd round pick to get him, he was outplayed by Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods as the Rams offense exploded with him barely playing a role, and now they're letting him walk for nothing. Could just be that they have far higher priorities to sign & extend in the next 12 months. Have you seen the list of players with expiring contracts? He's more expendable than those other players are. They even cut Austin even though they don't save much by doing so (they still owe him $5m of his $8m for this year). ...or he has a chronic foot problem and will never be the receiver he was coming out, lol. I would assume he'll be amicable to a 3 year deal (rehab his value and hit the market at 27 again if he wants) for 12-15 million annually with guaranteed coming in around 40.
