NFL is looking to reward teams for hiring minority coaches/front office personnel 

 

It seems they get the racism backwards. Hiring someone based on their skin color and not the best person for the job is racist in my book. I’m not aware of any rules that prevent teams from hiring minorities.

There are no rules that prevent it. Best person for the job, regardless of color. The lunacy of political correctness has gotten to unreal levels. Now it doesn’t matter how bad you are, if you have too many white dudes, tough, you lose draft capital because this organization has more black or Hispanic dudes? Stop. Just stop.

If they want to create incentives for teams they should provide the teams that hit the quotas with a greater share of the TV revenue vs teams that do not.

Hit the owners in their wallets. Don't screw up competitive balance. That's unfair to pblack players and coaches on teams that have less diversity.  Makes no sense.

There’s not not enough white Cornerbacks in the NFL. In fact I don’t think I’ve heard of a white CB since Jayson Seahorn. Why is the NFL so racist against white CBs? I don’t care that white CBs are too slow and can’t jump! Teams must be rewarded for having more white CBs

Physical traits matter when playing. Coaching progress is based on networking and game knowledge. Which one do you think black coaches or potential black coaches lack?

Are you saying all black coaches are the same? It depends on which coach you refer to.

How about just hiring the best people for the jobs, regardless of color. Thats the way the players get picked. 68% of players are African American, 28% are white,4% are Asian Pacific Islander. How about we give a better draft pick if the team has at least 30% white players. This just doesn't make sense, in any way. Lets talk about the NBA next.

As a minority, I can tell you this is really ******* stupid.

It would solve nothing. I guarantee you'd just end up with teams using minorities as figurehead GMs, especially teams who's owners have alot of control (ie the Dallas Cowboys)

I could see Jerry Jones hiring someone like Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin to be his "GM" all while still actually making the pick himself
