Agree on Guidry but even with limited reps last season, I thought Huff looked like he was going to be a very good player and predicted 8 sacks out of him this year.  You make a fair point though.  My assumptions won't necessarily match up with those of others.

I went with Fatukasi for the same reason with Hall in 2nd gaining ground.

Brandon Moore…would also add Damon Harrison and even Ryan Young

Fatukasi but only because he's the most established. Elite run stuffer, underrated pass rusher. Probably the most consistent player on his team. 

If Hall maintains his current performance level it will be him due to where he plays but it's still too early in his career to know just how good he is.

Leon would be honourable mention too.

He had 22 TD's in four seasons (really three and a half), which is incredible for a third down back/returner - He was such an integral player for those teams. More than Cotchery got in his 5 seasons too which is surprising. Also just extremely likeable and he got hurt by taking a risk and playing without a new contract. Was never the same. 

Not sure I'd include Coles because we had to give up former 1st round pick Santana Moss for those stats in his second spell.

Dwayne White, the Roadgrader, was one late rounder I always really liked.

7th round pick out of Alcorn, looked like the chubby kid who got picked last in gym, blocked like a demon and was surprisingly nimble.

Played 5 years for us - good player, great value pick.

Hate to be nitpicky here but how is a UDFA considered "a draft bargain" when they were in fact, not drafted?  It kind of changes the question because clearly your biggest value will come from someone that you didnt have to use assets to acquire besides money.

I'd be way more comfortable answering this question a year or two from now. 

For now, its probably Fatusaki, but Hall has the potential to zoom by him by the end of the year. I just haven't seen enough yet. 

Hall becoming a number 1 CB out of round 5 is an absolute gem. Especially since we thought DB would be a crazy weakness this year. 

Between Huff, Guidry and MCII, there is some real late round/UDFA potential for this defense. Allows the Jets to throw more valuable resources at the OL.

Bobby Jackson 6th rounder in 1978 was a very good corner. Unfortunately Donald Dykes was the worst cornerback in football history and Walt Michael’s had him cover Stanley Morgan in the jets 56-3 loss to the Patriots. Stanley Morgan had like 300 yards receiving in that game.

But of course Maccagnan even f**ked that up.  And no, while Douglas hasn't fixed the problem either, at least Connor McGovern can snap the freaking ball properly.

Good call.  He should have been a Pro Bowler in '82.  Don't know how I missed him.  Only having 4 healthy seasons in his 8-year career hurts him a bit but he belongs on the list too.

You're not wrong, but I consider UDFAs to be part of the "draft" class because the players would have been drafted if they went back to the 12 round format. Hitting on an UDFA is a better achievement than hitting on a late round draft pick, in my opinion.
