well, you can have good players and still not have a good unit.  these guys are just not playing as a team.  saleh says he's got a defense a monkey can learn.  uh-huh.  maybe not.  lafleur says the same thing about the offense.  i guess they over estimated the simplicity they brought in.

it is kind of strange that saleh says a monkey can run his defense and then see it lay an egg in an awful lot of games.  at this point i think they have some decent players, just not any that scare the other team.  this has been a jet problem for quite some time.  hopefully they'll understand this monkey defense and we'll see improvement next season.  i don't think we can fault saleh for trying to stick with his scheme just yet.  maybe ulbrich doesn't know it either.

What should happen to Saleh for preparing the team for the wrong QB?

The Jets can’t keep creating holes.  Quinnen should be given an extension that puts money in his pocket today, is reasonable 2 years out and includes incentives to perform.   Let’s say 4 years starting next year (so a 2 year extension).  In three years we draft his replacement

Q has mostly been very effective. And not a small thing that he probably could've called it a day when his shoulder was hurt, and instead he put on a shoulder brace and got back out there. That's leadership.

Compare and contrast with #77 taking his time when it comes to getting back on the field.
