I hope the Jets win this and every game for the rest of the season.  They wont.  The best they will do is 4 or 5 wins.  Maybe.

I just read the coverage in the Daily News about Woody's latest press conference performance.  What an ahole.

If I were 25, I would not watch this team or attend their games.  I only watch the Jets because I watched them when I was 25, at Shea, many years ago.

I guess I am sentimental.  But my view is play Geno, lose every game, draft Marcus, get rid of the poisonous snake in the grass Idzik, do not pay any attention to the clown owner, and, yes, keep Rex.

rivers wiil leave the game due to "excessive pooping of the pants".    the jets d-line will dominate this game

This appears to be a game featuring two teams headed in opposite directions. Despite a rash of injuries the Chargers continue to win games while the Jets have been unable to grab the reigns of the league’s weakest division.

It will be interesting, though, to see if the Jets can take advantage of their apparent edge in the trenches this week. All three of New York’s starting defensive lineman have positive overall grades. Muhammad Wilkerson leads the charge at +9.2 but Sheldon Richardson (+5.3) and Damon Harrison (+3.6) are not far off.

Across the ball, left tackle King Dunlap is the only Chargers offensive lineman who can make that claim (+4.8). The other four projected starters combine for a shockingly low -25.6. With Johnnie Troutman (-9.7) and Chad Rinehart (-9.0) really looking out of sorts so far. The Chargers have worked their way to 3-1 despite this – even while playing some of the best teams in the league – however the Jets likely bring the best 3-4 front in the league with them on Sunday.

Here are three noteworthy numbers for each side:

New York Jets

Dawan Landry – is one of only two safeties with at least 55 snaps who hasn’t missed a tackle. The other player is Charger safety Eric Weddle.

Nick Mangold – Mangold owns the best overall grade among centers at +9.9. He’s also the only qualifying center who has yet to give up a pressure.

Chris Ivory – has the best Elusive Rating among running backs with at least 50 carries at 118.7. The nearest player is at 96.0 (Cowboys’ Demarco Murray).

an Diego Chargers

Brandon Flowers – Flowers has by far the best overall grade among corners at +10.1 (Perrish Cox in second place at +6.4). He’s also tops in league in Coverage Snaps per Reception in the slot (15.2).

Philip Rivers – leads all signal callers in PFF QB Rating (101.95) and Yards per Attempt (8.43). On pace to throw 36 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Dwight Freeney – Freeney leads all 3-4 outside linebackers in Pass Rush Productivity at 15.5. Notching 22 pressures on 110 snaps pass rush.

We get Ivory going early. He runs for 55 yards in the 1st drive and we settle for 3. We abandon the run and drop Geno back in shotgun 33 times. Ivory doesnt see much time off the pine for the second half. JK that was the last 2 weeks.

I will say the same thing I have said for the last 2 games. Play mistake free we win. The Charger use of the TE is what has me the most nervous. Rivers will get his. Possible more than 1 big play to the outside. But we cant afford to ged shredded over the middle like Cutler and Bennet did. Those 3rd down drive extenders are killers.

The difference with this game and the Detroit and Chicago game I think is the O-Line.  We all wanted to see consistent pressure an knock down Cutler and Stafford. We thought that was a key to the game. The Charger line is worse than Detroit and Chicago. i really think we can get good interior pressure, close the pocket and make sh*t happen.  We need to force turnovers and not turn the ball over to win this one.

We need to let Geno use play action and stop going away from the run.  I am back to my moronic positive ways calling for a victory on this  one. Please Geno dont force me to come on here with another one of my half retarded  drunken rants. We establish the run game dont kill ourselves, we win this one 24-17.

Although Im not sure the fine folks here at JN could handle a road win in SD to go 2-3. I think there may be virtual broken windows, looting and mayhem here.  Enjoy the game everyone and GO JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jets seem to play well in SD. They win 24-20. Salas gets a TD, milliner gets a pick. Mo, coples, babin, richardson with sacks.

Yeah but we had better teams in those games.  Our offense sucks without Decker (not like it's been great with him) and our defense cannot stop any competent quarterback.

interesting how you didn't mention the dog puke oline they have

because its not going to matter. our defense never really takes advantage of the other teams weaknesses. but what we do well is let the other team exploit or weaknesses. we have a huge weakness (pass defense). rivers and co are going to put up 30 on this team easily.
