Popular Post JohnnyLV
We have laid a smelly turd in the first two games. Mono and lack of Darnold has led to some serious conservatism on offense, the OL is awful, and the defense is not great. However, the defense showed improvement last week, Darnold will be back for Philadelphia and the defense will continue to get better. I also believe that a healthy Darnold will show why he is a future Top 5 QB coming back We will probably lose to NE this Sunday, but I expect there to be signs of improvement. Philadelphia, Dallas and NE are a tough stretch. But I am not really that impressed with Dallas. Say we start 1-5. Oh no, season over....but is it? I realize that every team right now is penciling in the Jets game as a win for them, but the Jets did show some improvement Monday, and the Buffalo game was "won" before out epic fail. I still believe we will be more like the TD machine we saw in preseason than our performances in first two games. But here's the thing: After these 6 games our schedule is EPIC in its easiness We play likely only 1 team that will be in the playoffs, Baltimore and they are not as good as they look and might be on QB#3 by the time we play them. I actually think we can start as good as 3-3 but even if we start 1-5, I think this team builds momentum wins 9 of last 10 and makes the playofffs. Usually I would think the season is over but don't feel that way this time. 6 1 3 1
Popular Post SAR I
Yup. We'll be 7-6 with 3 to go in December. Beat the Steelers and Bills, hello wildcard. The team we were excited about in August is the same here in September. Just injured (they're coming back) and out of sync (OL will improve, K looks okay). Oh, and no one thought our D was going to be this good, especially our secondary. SAR I 6 1
Popular Post Barry McCockinner
Before I start thinking about playoffs, I'd like to see them resemble an NFL quality team. I'm not writing off the season already like many are but saying we're making the playoffs at this point sounds delusional at best. Baby steps. 6 3 1
TheClashFan
The OL will have to get much better if the Jets are to win 6 or more games. I don't think they will, but I hope the OP is right. The second half schedule looks "easy" now, but that might change in a few weeks. I think this was always going to be an evaluate and rebuild year, esp. once JD was hired. There are huge ?? to be answered, inc. one about the quality of Gase.

Well, Jax and Steelers are not getting their QBs back... and I love Porn Stash but his air raid style is going to be stopped... Rudolph will show why he dropped to the 3rd round because has a hard time reading defenses... Giants have a rookie QB that will be swimming by then... Miami has a high school football team... Bills are beatable as the Jets showed in week 1... None of these things will change 1

BroadwayRay
The offensive line isn't good enough to send the team to the playoffs. Short of Bell, I'm also growing more skeptical of the Jets offensive skill players. Remember, this is still Macc;'s team for the most part. It's a product of bad drafting in general, horrible personnel evaluation and neglect of the offensive line. We have to wait and see if Douglas can fix this mess in the next couple of drafts.

EdReed22
Quote Only in Madden or in your dreams. Bell, Mosley and Darnold are the only players to build your team around that are stars and game changers, or playmakers. Please stop with Adams, Maye, Williams. They haven't done squat. They are only talkers, not performers. You ever noticed bell yapp too much or Mosley. No they let their play do the talking. Learn to be humble new age kids. Its all about the pub you get, the glitz, glamor. Act like you made a play before. Our O-Line is a disaster and wouldn't be even backups on a playoff contender (Maybe Shell, Osemele). We got no Wideouts worth having besides Robby, no TE's and one Rb. Who is our entire offense.

How is Darnold a franchise QB? Because he had a few games last year when he didn't look completely incompetent? I know the bar is set extremely low on Jet QBs but pump the breaks on that. The Jets have 1 impact player: Bell(who they didn't even want) and he's been getting mauled the first two weeks. I'd be stunned if he makes it to the end of the season healthy. No depth, bad OL, awful CBs, no ability to rush the passer = BAD TEAM. It's really not that ******* difficult to figure out. 1 2

Steve Young picked the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers to meet in the Super Bowl, you can't call him a fool because he didn't also predict Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees injuries. And unless you're a SOJ hater, it's very obvious that if Darnold didn't get mono and Mosely didn't get hurt we would be 2-0 right now and the talk of the NFL would be the buzz around our suddenly dominant defense. Where I thought that Dallas and Philadelphia would be definite losses I'm now quite optimistic. You should be too. The same team we were pumped about in August is still there. Mosely and Bell look better than advertised. The pass rush and secondary generated 6 turnovers in the first 2 weeks. Gase is keeping his cool and the team isn't imploding. At 80% and a 102 fever Darnold had done enough to beat the Bills even without a kicker the whole game. 0-3 looks bad, but it's not the end. This is a good team hitting epic-level adversity. We move past that after the bye week. It's Game 1 and we only have to go 9-4 from there. Look at the schedule. Ain't hard starting in late October.
