Florida prosecutors are considering an unusual move in the prostitution case against New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

The now 78-year-old Kraft was arrested in Februaryon charges he paid for sex at a Jupiter, Florida, massage parlor, shortly before his team won its sixth Super Bowl. He pleaded not guilty.

Secretly recorded videos of him and other accused johns at Orchids of Asia Day Spa were tossed in May by a judge who ruled the cops did not have a lawful “sneak and peek” warrant.

Now, Florida’s attorney general’s office said in a court filing that the billionaire Kraft could face a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison, if the state wins its appeal of the ruling on the tapes.

The state’s lawyers are arguing for the first time that Kraft — originally charged with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution — actually committed a felony, the Florida Sun-Sentinal reported.  In court papers, the attorney general’s office argued that purchasing prostitution services on multiple days, as Kraft is accused of doing, is equivalent to a felony.

Elevating multiple misdemeanors to a felony would be an unusual move in Florida.

Going to be terrible when Kraft perishes under mysterious circumstances in a SuperMax cell while guarded by two highly compromised federal prison guards who also quietly disappear off the face of the earth soon after. QQQQQQQQQ

Dont forget having this behemoth as a cellmate...

Nothing will be better than seeing mumbles lose with Daniel Jones and the Giants.

Why would you assume this? BB is historically a winner and the Giants are historically winners. Daniel Jones is still developing and has looked good in some games. I’m sure if Bill becomes their HC the G-men will be competitive and possibly win a Super Bowl or more. Stop dismissing Belechick, he’s a mastermind.

I don’t get why you’re disregarding them so quickly. We’ve argued about this before. When will you people learn your lesson, the pats aren’t done until Brady and BB are gone.

I can’t stand Kraft as much of the next guy...but an overreaching DA - just for publicity sake is never a good thing.

First time johns in most jurisdictions get a diversion program that involves getting, for lack of a better word, yelled at by former prostitutes about the awfulness of prostitution. And really if you see the girls that take a collar for this in NYC,  there are no Julia Robertses among them and a myriad of medical conditions you would rather not be exposed to. And after such an afternoon, the case is dismissed. Not defending Kraft , but were I a Florida taxpayer would annoyed that this case is close to a priority.

Francesa has been saying this forever, too. He feels like he owes the time spent with the Giants for his career success.

Cheating BB does owe his development to the Giants and Parcells and one of the few decent things he has ever done is that he has never hidden that fact.....

I agree this is preposterous!

A felony for this behavior is ridiculous...

If you’re of a conspiratorial mind, this would be a convenient way for Goodell to suspend Kraft for a year without implicating him for defrauding the sport, similar to the way David Stern bounced Jordan from the NBA for gambling while he “pursued baseball.”

Danny Dimes had 1 decent game and everyone went crazy.

NE is on the demise.

Stay tuned.......
