Could you live with this draft?

Recommended Posts

Not gonna pretend to know the draft like you guys but at this point all I want is an offensive skill position player I've actually seen play. Yours has three so thats good enough for me, lol

Not bad.  I’d be beyond happy with Wills at 12.   Jefferson and Claypool are interesting.  Them plus Robby and Crowder actually isn’t a bad group.

1 - Jedrick Wills - OT - Alabama

2 - Mekhi Becton - OT - Louisville

3 - Justin Jefferson - WR - LSU

3 - Darrell Taylor - Edge - Tennessee

4 - JK Dobbins - RB - Ohio State

5 - Chase Claypool - WR - Notre Dame

6 - Eric Stokes  - CB - Georgia

6 - Harrison Bryant  - TE - Florida Atlantic

(one of the two OTs would probably start at guard perhaps)

I would very much like this draft. Bookend road graders, Jefferson, Dobbins, and Claypool? Sign me up

I am no draft expert, but Dobbins in the fourth seems like a stretch.

I like their simulator the best.  You can choose who’s big board to use as well.  Slightly more realistic than the Fanspeak one.

I do as well, but I wish they added trades.

I would be happy with that.  Not try g to get too critical but didn’t we trade one of the 6th rounders?

Trade Adams for a first then I’ll live with the draft

I'm as much of an 'anti' adams guy as anyone but a 1st would not do it unless it was like top 6 for him.  His value is at an all time high so a high 1st or a 1st and two or three other picks.

Yup.  We traded our 2nd 6 (the one we got from KC for Darron Lee) to the Colts for Nate Hairston.  And we traded a conditional 7 for Alex Lewis, so we probably do not have a 7 either, depending on the conditions.

I was going to ask about the Nickerson trade since we dumped him for a conditional 7th and he did make Seattles roster. Turns out it's a 2021 pick.

I would love that draft.  Absolutely love it. I really like Claypool and Jefferson a lot.  Different players, but both with great length.  With Herndon and those 2, have some serious height down in the red zone, which is a big issue for this team.

I was just listening to JD's presser and he stated we have 8 draft picks. I can count 7 but I'm missing out on the 8th.

I see 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6. I'm guessing we still have a 7th with his comments.

I don't think the conditions of the Alex Lewis trade were ever made public.  It might be tied to re-signing him.  I guess Joe would knnow what the conditions are and if they have/will be met.

You’re not getting dobbins in the 4th.  If you want him or Etienne you’re gonna have to use a 2nd on them.  Maybe the LSU back can be had in the early 3rd.

I tend to agree with you but we need to see how they perform at the combine. They might have 2nd round skills and 4th round numbers....happens every year.

I have a hard time believing those were the conditions since the guy started almost the entire year for us. I wonder if we're overlooking some transaction and why it is so hard to figure this out at this time of year. Oh well....8 is better than 7.

Dobbins will be gone by the 2nd round. Plus we have Bell Adams  and Powell should return. We need to focus on other needs besides RB.

Powell and Adams may not be on the roster next year and they will try to trade bell.  They need another rb and more speed overall at the position.  Rb will be drafted in the 3rd round, watch.

This.  I fully expect Douglas to use a mid round pick on a RB, just like Philly did last year.  It’s time for some fresh legs.

I’m very intrigued by the LSU back.  Loved watching him in the few LSU games I saw this year and look forward to following him throughout the draft process.

I used this thing to come up with the draft.

My results.  I couldn't resist Dobbins in the 3rd and there seemed to be a run on both OT and IOL just before my picks in Rounds 1 and 3....although CeeDee was a no-brainer at 11 with the top 3 OTs gone.

This would be great.  I think I was thinking along the same lines:

these "team only" mock drafts in January are traditionally homers making their team luck into 5 first rounders in the team's first 3 picks

not really a fan of Darrell Taylor, would go oline again maybe a center or that guard from ohio state, wyatt davis, and change Claypool for Denzel Mims.
