David Harris
So Enunwa will make double Andy Dalton this year. Jesus. our cap situation is handicapped for 2020 and even 2021 a bit by the Tru and Quincy contracts. Unbelievably bad contracts.
Prodigal Syndicate
Sucks. I really loved watching this guy play. He played violent old school football. Was fun to watch, but it's also why he stayed hurt. Retire Quincy, your health is more important.

He may have known since the second he came off the field injured that last time that he'd never play again and simply went into financial protection mode. Not showing up to rehab is a clear sign that you've lost any interest, motivation or commitment in trying to get back on the field. The Jets need to do everything they can to preserve roster spots and Cap space vis-a-vis Enunwa. Make no mistake, he's out for himself and the Jets should be protecting their interests as well. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he fully recovers to enjoy a post-football life. I think he'll do okay with all the millions he's accumulated and will receive in the future through a settlement. As an NFL alum he'll also have excellent longterm health benefits through the NFLPA. Yup. Just one of those "it is what it is deals". Maccagnan should have never given him that contract, but Quincy 110% had an obligation to show up for rehab. 2
pdxgreen
At least league contracts arent all guaranteed. In the NBA, you'd be yelling at this guy on Instagram Live all day while he sent dollar sign emojis at you for the next three years.

On the same day, he was placed on IR (ankle) — an omen. He wound up playing only one game on the new deal (second neck injury in two years). Horrendous deal for the #Jets I have said it before. I believe this is the dumbest contract in the history of the NFL

CurtMart
Emu was is the real champ here. What a contract he signed with Macc. Amazing how you can fleece a GM like that. Jetster
Enunwa was so replaceable it was ridiculous to give him that contract. 98% of Jet fans on this board questioned that contract. It amazes me how a guy like Maccagnan can fool people to move into such an important position with a billion dollar company? It just solidifies how asleep at the wheel the Johnsons are. If Joe Douglas turns this organization around they owe Adam Gase ALL THE CREDIT, whether he's here or not if or when that happens. Without the hiring of Gase most of us would have died watching our favorite team signing washed up vets & drafting terrible players while resigning undeserving players. Gase saved Sam Darnolds career. I'm convinced Macc would have David Carred him.

The point gets beaten to death around here, but he presided over the worst 5 year run a GM has had for this franchise. From the horrific contracts, abysmal drafts to the hundreds of millions in cap space wasted, he was an abject failure at the position. Other than a couple Mike Maccagnan relatives that post around here, I’m sure everyone feels the same. Truly horrific run.
