For a guy seemingly as risk-averse as JD, holding onto Darnold until after Wilson threw at his Pro Day, there's almost a 0% chance that the Jets don't fully understand Wilson's medical situation.

This medical check will be a nothing burger.

I think point 3 was the biggest factor in his decision.

I started this thread around 9 in the morning and I believe you're referring to the Joe Douglas zoom meeting with reporters today around 2pm. May I ask, who's still arguing that Fields is going to be the pick? @Paradis isn't arguing that Fields is going to be the pick. I'm not arguing that Fields is going to be the pick. I'm just hopeful that something could change between now and April 29th. When/if Joe does draft Zach Wilson, I'll be sure to support him, because I'm a Jets fan, but one thing I'll never do, is create some pussy farewell thread if Wilson doesn't work out. No, I won't do that. ?

Remember when this thread was about Zach Wilson's medical history?  Good times.

Personally, I've always been a big pro-Fields guy, but I've come to terms with the fact that Wilson will be the pick - unless something dramatic happens between now and the draft.

I'm sure his medicals will come back fine - I don't see any way that JD trades Darnold without being comfortable with Wilson's medical situation.

So, unless the medical check throws up something unexpected (unlikely), or unless Zach decides to get his johnson out and start smacking hookers about the face with it, while high, and it's all caught on video and released on the eve of the draft....Zach Wilson is going to be the Jets' pick at #2.
