Saleh left the door open for it. He said "We'll see" when asked if Duane Brown could play Sunday.

Great to hear that Brown is close to returning - we need him.

Not sure what Curry will add to an already overloaded DL group, but he is a very solid player when healthy.

Good news.  Have nothing against Curry, but I really don’t want to see him play.  All I see is him taking already minimal reps away from Huff and JJ.

to an outside position with no help DURING THE SEASON is crazy

Mitchell is "probably" out this week.  But next week we might hear "2-4 weeks".

Brown is the LT if healthy.  I think Mitchell might be a better RT than Fant, to be honest.  This is a good problem to have if they all heal up.

 

Brown, LT, Mc, AVT, Mitchell with Fant and Herbig as depth.  After the past 7 weeks, this lineup feels like a luxury.

Fant goes from right tackle to left tackle, complains.

AVT goes from LG to RG to LT in 2 months, says nothing.  Might as well throw RT in there.

Duane Brown played really well in the limited time he played in preseason. Looking forward to his return. We really need Tomlinson to play average. He looks a step too slow out there.

Mitchell goes back to learning as a rookie, and trying to add weight.

Man that is just asking a ton from AVT but it might make sense. I just want to come up with a configuration that can be stable for 4 or 5 weeks. Zach can manage a sketchy OL

I still feel like Brown isn't' going to last long.  It sounds like he has an operable shoulder injury that he's "giving it a shot" to play.  

Hope I'm wrong as him playing the rest of the season would be an absolute game changer.  And if somehow Fant comes back healthy to play RT then this line is above average again.  Can't blame JD for all these injuries but it's hard not to think of how good they could've been had the tackles stayed healthy.

Becton had the same, or a similar, injury in 2020.  He ended up being fine after rehab.

On the other side, Keleche Osemele had his entire season, arguably the rest of his career, derailed from it.

Hoping for the Becton result.

AVT is a freaking Unicorn...a Godsend to this team.  When it's all said and done...he may turn out to be the best player JD ever drafted.
