Davis is done here.  I like him but hes not reliable.  He has been nowhere to be found down the stretch.

Cut him and bring in someone who can actually stay on the field.

This seals corey davis's fate here.

It's his fault he got a concussion? The league regulates how these injuries are handled now.

Not his fault, but just not reliable. We can save a good chunk of money, and then look for a true number 2 opposite Wilson.  who can grow with whoever our future quarterback is.

Davis was most effective of Jets receivers for Zach so this is a big deal. But Jets best receiver is Garrett Wilson by far who has steadily improved and becoming an impact player. Hopefully not some crazy game plan Garrett should be getting at least 10 targets including longer pass plays.

If MfnW were starting, this would be a bigger deal. They have nice chemistry. But for ZW, Mims has already become his 'corey davis'. Look back at the critical 4th and 10 in the first Bills game...after running the ball 8 times, we NEEDED a big pass play to preserve the series (and the win). Zack hit Mims for that critical pass and catch. I just think ZW is more comfortable throwing to Mims.

He’s been a pretty big disappointment no question.

Business decision by Corey.  Can you blame him?

In this case the business decision would be to be on the field. He has no more guaranteed $ on his contract after this season, and after the past 2 seasons' results (injuries a huge part of them) it seems as likely as not that his $10.5MM salary for next year exceeds the annual $ he'd get on a new deal if cut.

Every game he misses lowers what he makes in the future (his remaining $ for this year is guaranteed no matter what).
