If it was just 41 million for two years of Rodgers and be done with him then of course as the gamble isn’t as huge but that extra 40 or so million that would be dead money when he’s retired can and will be crippling to sustainable success

Just seems like it has become Jets or nothing. 

Most of what I've seen suggests Rodgers bears no overt animosity towards GB the way Favre did.  Here's one quote from espn:
