addage Posted July 28, 2023 Share Posted July 28, 2023 Jets have a tight cap. Kwon is a good player--knows the system. Doesn't need to be here until later in camp. Some of the younger players are getting a chance to show they can match Kwon. And keeping the $ in house give the Jets the opportunity to spend the money elsewhere on even better players -- or to cover injuries (I hope not). I think that's smart. Just another insurance policy because injuries are going to happen and they aren't deep at linebacker. They paid him not much more than the veteran minimum last year (I believe) so I think they should be able to work out a deal this year. Kwon: Would you like to play for the veteran minimum?
