Jets Titans observations

1. It took nearly 1.5 games to realize you score on Offense by featuring your Hall of Fame QB who still has plenty left in the tank.

Throw on early downs and throw often.

2. Then when you have the Defense reeling, you run the ball.

3. All else equal, passing (multiple options) is almost always more difficult to stop than a single back running game.

4. Quincy is the best Williams brother 2 games in, and it’s not really that close.

5. Jets D is better with Sherwood starting.  Saleh once again has to be forced into something that will become more clear if Mosley is out a few weeks.

6. OLine played a good game.  Tough to block with 8 guys in the box.  See #1-2 above.

7. Jets still cannot sign Reddick to a long term deal but they’ll probably wind up eating his fines and some more this year.

8. Bad route by Jeremy Ruckert cost us a TD.  Clock is ticking for him to show us why he should be part of this Offense and the future.

9. John Simpson might be our highest graded OL by season’s end.

10. Great game Tony Adams, bad game Chuck Clark.

11. Did I mention, Aaron Rodgers still has plenty in the tank!

Agree with all of this and yes Clark was atrocious.

Your two best points.  Hard to argue with either one.

He also had Saleh bail him out with two timeouts saving him from delay of game penalties. One of which would probably been a drive killer. Instead he hits Williams with a beauty of a pass.

Defense still has issues. Too many penalties, Sauce was awful. (Also very very lucky that he wasn’t called for defensive holding on that that pass to Ridley in end zone on that final drive. I thought it was actually worse without Mosley, they just made a play on the last play.

Running game has to be better. Hopefully it will as the OL begins to mesh

Aaron Rodgers looks rusty AF. He's missing passes he used to hit in his sleep, hesitating and panicking in the pocket and losing track of the play clock.

Hopefully it is just rust. Maybe a home game will go a long way for him and the offense.

I fed it into the bat computer AND the enterprise computer and he’ll be back to himself against Denver after the mini bye

he gives 15 pounds to CJ. hes going to get pushed around vs the run. if fact he is our lightest LB.

yeah hes good at chasing down guys or covering in passing down but not the run.

Sherwood graded well at stopping the run last year, not in coverage.

Counterintuitive since he’s a former safety.

They needed someone up front to step up against the run and Javon Kinlaw made a difference

-Echols always seems to make a play when he has to startI’m

A number of us were saying during TC that a 2 RB alignment with Breece and Allen could be devastating.  Glad to see someone in the media finally catching on.

-the OL is light years ahead of recent years.  AVT is the weak link rn, getting swum over causing blow ups. Hopefully just rust.

- JJ’s loss is very significant

- AR will only get better: Gives his guys opportunities to make plays. Nice believing on your QB.

- Allen Agent Zero changes the offense- great use of him today

-Offense hasn’t gotten into a rhythm. Feels like some good individual efforts, AR doing vet things, some clutch 3rd down completions but minimal flow

- Feel lucky to get this win, early, on the road, against an underrated defense

He was good against the run today, he can tackle.  Mosley gets washed out or out of position.  Quincy played much better moving to Mosley's spot.

The P-E-O-P-L-E's captains observations:

Positives:

- oline has been pretty good in protecting Rodgers.

-T-I-P-P-Y's snaps are a thing of beauty

-Irv Chales is a demon on specials and could be a pro bowler

-Braelon Allen looks like our best rb

-Def was drastically better once mosley left the game

-Willie mac is the stud we all knew hed be in year 2

-Echols was our best corner today

-We turned the ball over

Negatives:

-Quinnen Williams stinks

-Rodgers looks like a rookie unable to get plays off in time

-Garrett is not the player we thought he was

-Sauce is not the player we thought he was

-CJ Mosley is washed up

-Whether its hackett making the calls or rodgers checking to a run, we are not throwing enough

-Not getting mike williams or tyler conklin the ball enough

-too much dink and dunk.  Throw the ball down the damn field

Number 7 is a given after losing JJ. Wouldn't be surprised to see it happen today.

Rogers’ adjusting to go to a quick pass offence won us the game.

Correct.  We need to play off Rodgers and the short passing game, especially when teams stack the box.  Mix in a couple deep shots and run off the pass.

This isn’t that hard and I don’t care how ‘rusty’ Rodgers is.  That’s not the point.

We always seem to play into other team’s game plans rather than around them.

The Offense changed at the end of the half when Rodgers threw early and often in a quick passing game.

From there, Titans D was mostly off balance.  Ruckert scores on a well thrown pass and Sauce plays more focused and the game isn’t as close.
