People forget that Darnold could always play QB.  He would play very well and then make bone-headed mistakes trying to force things because the offense around him that Macc put together was High School levels of talent.  The panthers sucked too, yet he still had some good games there.

If JD had kept Sam, not drafted Zach and drafted OL or WR, we probably would have made the playoffs at some point these last few years.  Macc and Gase were the worst GM/HC combo in NFL history.

Gase was gone when Zach was drafted. Douglas was the GM who scouted and drafted Zach for Saleh.
