2nd Busiest Posting Day Of All Time

Recommended Posts

We had right around 4,000 posts here on Tuesday, I checked real quick and it looks like it was the 2nd busiest posting day of all time.  We were just short of December 28, 2008. I didn't look that day up to see what went on that day.

But there is certainly no shortage of things to talk about. Welcome home Revis. Thanks Mike Maccagnan - you are off to a good start.

Thanks to everyone who posts here, the conversations have been great. Everyone has been getting along pretty well. So much easier now that Rex and Idzik are gone!  :)

Dec 28 2008 was the date of the final game of that season vs Miami at home. We still had a small chance at the playoffs heading into the game. Mangini was fired the next day.

If today was just shy of that, imagine what posting will be like during the season, especially if we are actually playing for something.

I was there.

About 25% are freaking out. The majority understand that you've got problems when the highest paid player on the team is a CB.

Yeah.  A real terrible problem.  Gives us back maybe the most talented player we've ever had in decades.  Restores the fans faith in our franchise.  Proves our GM and coach knows what they are doing.  I could think of dozens of other PROBLEMS like these .....

Chad Pennington came back with the Dolphins and won the division that day. This place was flooded with new Dolphin posters lol a very depressing day in Jets history. Quite the opposite of yesterday.

Really?  Truth is we are paying about 1 million dollars a year more than you guys did for one year.  We play in a division with probably best QB in league.  Just makes sense to have the best CB in the game.  Cap go's up every year.  Suck it.

Can't believe the championship games didn't top that

Your math is like counting calories at the buffet.

NE paid Revis 12 Million last season. The Jets are paying more than 13 million this year. Coconut Banana creme Pie is only 10 calories.

The thing that I like about the contract is that only the first two years are fully guaranteed.

Funny. I registered here 10 years ago and I made this my home this offseason after JI burned to the ground. Perfect timing, I'm glad I witnessed this terrific offseason here so far and can't wait for the season to begin.

Yesterday was a lot of fun.  I kept an eye on JN all day and the second I took my eye off the computer my son was watching ESPN and screamed, "Dad Revis is coming back, confirmed.'  My big ass moved faster than ever to get back to the computer.  LOL

Same here. Was on my way home from work, tapatalk got disabled I guess or it blew up because of how crazy it got here so I couldn't even check out what's going on. When I got home I turn my TV on and I hear them talking about Revis and the Jets and I'm like...

And boom! He's back home. I can't wait for the presser, let alone the first time he puts on that green jersey again. :)

Who cares?  We had to spend it.  So rather than doing so on someone like Suh (who is one more bad decision away from a lengthy suspension) or a bunch of other trash FA's we chose to spend it on one of the best defensive players of all-time who is still playing at a high level.  Go kick rocks.
