I'd be more upset with my head coach diddling a woman who isn't his wife at a bar, which causes bad publicity and ruins the relationship with your team than the gossip surrounding it. It's not the infidelity that is the problem. It's the god awful self-awareness and inability to protect your team's brand and integrity. When you are the figurehead of a team, you are under a microscope, and the easiest part of your job is to not embarrass the organization. This type of behavior is indicative of way more than infidelity to his wife.

It’s the top story everywhere and there were reports that he was going to be fired if they could find they had cause.

Does Urban Meyer being an adulterous cantankerous POS affect me in any way? No, but that doesn't mean I cannot have an opinion about it. I'm glad that it's Meyer, and not Saleh who got caught in a moment of poor judgement. As much as infidelity irks me, the issue has little to do with him diddling a woman who is not his wife. It's the blatant lack of awareness and poor judgement. Your job as the figurehead of a team is to project a strong brand image. If you're going to openly be a man of faith and spout out scripture, act like a man of faith. Diddling a woman who is not your wife is not a virtuous act.

Let’s face it in pro sports there’s lots of sexual opportunities and plenty of cheating. Guys are on the road away from home go to bars hook up etc. So I don’t see the outrage except we all know about the hypocrisy from these big orgs like the NFL etc. The owner of the Patriots an old dude got caught on video at a massage parlor. I don’t know if Meyer cheats on his wife but if he does he’s not alone.

Yup.  That's why I never understand why anyone in sports, rock, film, TV, media, etc. get married.  The temptation must be absolutely mind ...er...blowing.   Gorgeous women throwing themselves at you 24/7/365.   Being faithful is gonna be tough for most people, no matter how strong you think you are.

Totally agree.  Same with folks getting upset if a politician cheats.  The issue is between the husband and wife.

The only caveat would be if the cheater started to skirt (no pun) his/her responsibilities instead concentrating on the lover(s).  I'm sure that's why the team is upset with Meyer:  Maybe after the loss his presence could have aided players and promoted unity.

Famous people are still people and they enjoy the comfort and stability of marriage. I may be a rare cat, but I enjoy monogamy. The part of my brain that seeks out new women shuts off when I am in a relationship. If I feel like I want to see other women, I end the relationship. Would things be different if I was loaded and had women throwing themselves all over me? I can't say for sure, but I would love to face that challenge. I'm going to start an OnlyJetsFans later today. Is there a market for bald, middle-aged men with a small beer belly?

I've had a couple one night fligs during my dating life.   But mostly wound up in various long term relationships.   For whatever reason, monogamy has worked for me, too.

Back when we realized our relationship was serious, my wife and I both agreed that we'd end it if we felt the need to cheat.   So far, so good.  But I'm praying the occasional dabbling on porn sites is still regarded as a wholesome experience.

Look if Meyer is dysfunctional as some reports are saying yelling at people blaming others for his teams bad record etc totally not relating to players or the front office then Khan will get rid of him and soon. Not sure these reports are accurate. Probably Tebow knows the story he was with the team until recently but he’s probably loyal to Urban and it’s the kind of guy he is.

WHO IS THE GIRL RUMOURED TO BE IN THE URBAN MEYER VIDEO?

Rumour has it that the mystery girl at the bar could be Cayman Nebraska.

If you look closely at the ‘second’ Urban Meyer video, you’ll see that the footage is actually a recording of a Snapchat video. Look even closer and you’ll see the name ‘Cayman Nebraska’. Given the fact that the video caption is in first person, it’s led many to believe that Nebraska could be the one in the viral video.

If the alleged girl is, in fact, Cayman, it looks as though her Instagram is now on private and her Twitter and LinkedIn profiles are no longer available.

According to her IG bio, Nebraska is an Ohio State Alumni and, as per this source, Cayman works for a media group.

Diving a little deeper, it’s clear that Cayman and Urban Meyer have possibly met before, judging by a June Facebook post uploaded by the media group.

Who cares if Urban Meyer cheats, and my guess is that his wife knows.

This is about him missing the team plane home to fly back with the team, cancelling the Monday morning meeting to deal with this nonsense, and being too hungover and alcohol numbed too often to be fully functional.  That is what I would be worried about if I was Khan.

Unfortunately, I don't know how likely it is that USC takes UM off of Jax's hands, as USC had the same problem with Sarkisian years ago and likely would not want it again.  Sarkisian got sober and is now HC of Texas doing well.  

I am not promoting teetotaling here.  But when a middle-aged adult, men in particular, lose control of the booze, it becomes hard to maintain a high profile position.   I don't think we are done with the UM issues.

Anonymous Sources, i.e. either made up from whole cloth (most likely) or perhaps a disgruntled (or religious) player too spineless to have his back-biting say on the record.  

If it's truly a "crisis point" and a "locker room he can't function in" with players who "don't think he has any credibility" because he was "too scared" to face them, then Meyers will almost assuredly be fired shortly. 

We'll see if that happens or not.

I am pretty sure that Lawrence is a Christian and fairly religious as the saying goes.

Also, players that might not otherwise care might be put off by the guy being too big of a puss to face them. 

OTOH, as you said, it might just be made up.  Pretty sure they will try to recoup some money before they cut him loose.  They had to have been considering this kind of thing when they hired him.

Khan is not eating $40mm to Urban Meyer.  They are trying to find their way out of this.   This can backfire on employers.  For example, NBC fired Billy Bush for his Trump video and tried to get out of paying him.  They lost.  I think Matt Lauer also ended up recovering some pay because everyone knew. 

So my guess is that the lawyers send him a strongly worded letter and put him on notice.  If Urban wants to earn his money going forward, he is going to have to live like a monk and fly straight.  He may choose to take a payout and have fun.  That is what I might do.  I don’t think Urban expected to take an NFL job and become a monk.
