I could be completely wrong, but I don’t think Aaron would be going on the McAfee show tomorrow to d*ck around. Popular Post win4ever
2 hours ago, Bleedin Green said: Not by any means defending NY media here, but they've shown on multiple occasions in the past before it's not that they'll only rip the Jets, rather it's that it will always be one extreme or the other, always going for the headline-grabbers... there simply is no middle ground. When the Jets get rolling and the hype gets real, it always sells big and can quickly take on its own life in sports media, and the local beat have shown they'll love every second of it. Unfortunately, the Jets do a very bad job of that happening very often, which is the bigger problem. However, we've seen moments like the Favre-led Jets beating the 10-0 Titans that immediately had stories talking Super Bowl, or the Jets playoff victory over the Pats and Bart Scott's subsequent "can't wait" rant being the only thing anyone could talk about for the entire week. Those moments are few and far between, but if Rodgers really comes to town (I refuse to believe it until it happens) and ultimately has success, the beat will happily bask in every moment of it and hype it up as the biggest thing in sports. That is, until something goes wrong and they'll certainly credit themselves for having known the whole time, but it would be nice if the Jets could limit the frequency of those opportunities being provided for a change. I agree, part of the problem is that they've given them enough bad fodder that ripping them is natural. Lol, even half the fans rip them. My issue with them are the intermediate areas skewing negative. Even in the Rex Ryan runs, the media picked against them in most cases, to which Bart Scott was barking about no one believing in us, and then they just made a U turn after the Pats game about how good the defense was. I think that's part of the problem, everyone claims they knew it all along. I think the perfect situation was the Wilkerson extension, when he was basically holding the Jets hostage. He had no real leverage, because he had a broken leg. Everything pointed to, waiting until he was healthy to re-sign him because if he played to his standards, then it was reasonable to franchise tag him. If he didn't, you could extend him for less money or let him move on. The media and fans sided with Wilkerson as a must extend and the Jets were fools to drag their feet. He got extended, and promptly sucked. What did the media do? Turn right around and say it was a stupid move to sign him. I understand if people argued against it, and then said "Ok, that was wrong, but I was fooled too", but it's always the "media is right in hindsight' approach that bothers me because they always come off so high and mighty. I think this extends to the fans too. So many of the Zach Wilson haters now were blowing him and Chris "He had Josh Allen No. 1" Simms about Wilson. Picking anyone but Wilson was seen as the stupid move, 49ers/Eagles sacrificing babies for a chance to trade for Wilson stories. He sucks, and it's same ole Jets suck. Where's the accountability? Idk, I just feel jaded with the media because they seem to just create narratives, and then have no repercussions. 6

WFAN is basically an audio book version of the trolls on this board. Yeah, I like the podcasts because the shows are usually more thought out than spur of the moment antics, and the evidence is there to go through in the past. I like some of the group collaborations on YouTube (I think GreenBean is one one, with Jets Central- I think, I'm not sure) where things are at least thought out.
