It’s probably Joe toeing the hard line and the Packers trying to squeeze something back. I’ve said it all along, the Packers never had any leverage here. The leverage was always Rodgers’, and with this interview he’s pretty much handed that over to the Jets. People still worried about that #13 pick… ? The Packers take a HUGE cap hit unless Rodgers retires or is traded. He's not retiring. The Packers are holding out for a first round pick, but the Jets aren't budging. In time, the Packers will have no choice but to accept the biggest trade offer on the table.
