Man, this is tough. 

If you fire Saleh, do you trust Douglas to hire not just an upgraded coach but an exceptional coach? No.

If you fire Douglas, Saleh and Hackett would go shortly after, which would be great, but do you trust Woody to hire an exceptional GM, who in turn hires an exceptional HC? Haha. 

I would be fine with Rodgers retiring but what do we then do at QB? 

New field? Don’t care that much, it won’t make the team magically start winning more games. 

Drake Maye, admittedly haven’t watched him enough to know if he can turn around a franchise. 

MHJ is my favorite prospect in the draft, but a receiver alone can’t turn around a franchise. 

I’m going with Caleb Williams.

I’m not sure it makes a ton of sense to draft a QB if we’re sticking with Hackett for Rodgers benefit (and I suspect he’d refuse to play here tbh) but drafting Caleb Williams seems like the most likely move to completely change the franchise going forward.

The answer is Woody sells the team. It would be truly a Christmas miracle.

As for the latest edition of generational QBs in the draft, I'll take a hard pass.

What we have learned over the past 5 years is that in the College game, the QB is not asked to read defenses, which makes projecting their ability to do so in the Pros impossible.

I say we draft a QB, but not unless late in the first round at earliest. Stroud has proven to be a complete outlier.

I think if the jets somehow land the two or three pick then there’s no need to wish saleh fired because I’m guessing he will be.  I irked Harrison because he can fill a need right away.  The drafted QBs will still need to sit, at least until Rodgers moves on.

Marvin Harrison all day

Caleb Williams was breaking down and crying in his moms arms over losing a few games this year.

He might climb the upper levels at MetLife and jump if he was drafted here.

The Jets aren’t taking a QB, at least not in the 1st round. We aren’t going to be in position for Maye or Williams anyway.

They’re committed to Rodgers and they’ll probably bring in a Minshew type to back him up and keep a guy like Rypien as the #3/PS QB.

Harrison is probably a pipedream, but if someone like Alt or Bowers is staring them in the face, they’d be stupid not to take one.

A potential franchise LT or a chess piece to threaten the middle of the field and draw attention away from Garrett are both major needs.
