Jermaine Johnson out for Year (Achilles)

Evidently, the cost of a Jets' victory is a good player's Achilles tendon.

It's probably just a freak thing.

But if Woody Johnson actually cared about anything beyond his bottom line, he would at least look into whether the Jets are doing something stupid with their conditioning / training regiments / routines.

Yep. Like fixing the damn MetLife turf. Should have done it after Rodgers, for sure. Would probably have kept JJ from his injury, even in Tennessee

It's borderline insanity there's been crickets on the Haason Reddick front.

It makes no sense for both sides to still be engaged in this staredown and all the sense in the world for them to actually start talking and come to some kind of agreement.

Is Joe Douglas actually going to sit on his hands for the next 16 weeks?

WTF is wit this type of injury.  Is it me, or has this incidence of this gone up in the past decade ?

Not just you.  The bigger the average player, the more violence and punishment on the body.

That said, the Jets seem to have an abundance of these the past 4 odd years.  Might want to check in with strength and conditioning/nutrition.

I had never seen an achilles injury until Vinny ... Now it seems yearly .. something is definitely different.

Was just thinking the exact same thing regarding Vinny's injury.  We've had so many seasons derailed by these types of injuries that it's ridiculous.  1999 with Testaverde, at least a couple of seasons with Pennington, last year with Rodgers, etc.
