RoadFan
1st up La'El Collins! Who else would you guys like to see the Jets bring in? I find the clamoring for La'El disturbing. Do any of you really consider what is going on?!?! He is being questioned in the investigation of the murder of a woman and her infant. Think about that. This is about being a human being before a football fan. Yes, he might have nothing to do with it. But it does not matter. NFL teams will wait it out. If Collins is involved, do any of you want the Jets being associated with him every time he is in the news? I sure as hell don't. If Collins is innocent, he will still land on his feet and play pro ball. The real victims are his ex-gf and the infant.
SouthernJet
By reading some site sit appears the 2 nest so far are Julian Howsare, TE saxton and taiwan jones,,both thought to be anywhere frm 4th to UDFAs,, but Julain made it on some sleeper lists for edge rushers.. One list I saw of UDFAs by available position had saxton and taiwan as #1 for thier position

Have you stopped buying Goods made in China because they use children on assembly lines? Or vegetables and fruits due to migrant labor not being paid fair wages? The law in this country state... Innocent until proven guilty... this young man was denied the opportunity of being drafted because of hearsay. It would have been smart to use a 7th on him as it appears she was shot by someone who wanted to borrow her car and she refused. Collins has been with his people these past couple of weeks getting prepped for draft night in Chicago. Doubt he had any shortages of rides. Although reports suggest that if he lives up to his first round grade in the NFL, he'll wind up getting paid like a high second rounder over the first four years of his career. Plus, he gets to pick his team, rather than the other way around. It's not a terrible situation. And also, let's not stray into politics here. That's the JN golden rule. C Mart
Wes Saxton TE So. Alabama to the Jets 5th Round grade Positive: Fluid, athletic receiver who projects as a move tight end at the next level. Displays good eye/hand coordination, strong hands and plucks the ball from the air. Quick off the line, immediately gets to top speed and displays terrific movement skills. Makes the difficult catch in traffic with defenders draped on him, uses his frame to box out opponents and for the most part extends to make receptions away from his frame. Effective blocking in motion and putting a pad on linebackers to disrupt their angle of attack. Negative: Not a sharp route runner and floats exiting breaks. At times struggles to make the difficult catch. Displays marginal blocking strength. Analysis: Saxton is a solid athlete best working in space and offers possibilities as a move tight end/H-back. http://www.draftinsider.net/reports/2015/TE/Wes-Saxton

Not sure the moral authority is necessary. He could go from a person of interest to a suspect very quickly. No one needs that circus around their team. Wait until he is cleared. Even then proceed with caution.

C Mart
Wes Saxton TE So. Alabama to the Jets STRENGTHS Very quick into his route off the snap. Sticks a foot in the ground and opens up quickly to offer quarterback a clean target with good catch radius. Willing to extend and make tough catches in traffic. Too quick for many linebackers on intermediate routes. Former high school receiver who shows some suddenness out of breaks. Hands-catcher. Traits to be a matchup problem on next level. WEAKNESSES Move tight end only. Appears to lack the toughness to play in-line. Poor effort as a run blocker and offers no power to secure edge or get movement. Routes are still very raw. Hasn't learned to gain as much separation as his athleticism should allow him. Scouts question how hard he will compete when challenged by NFL toughness. DRAFT PROJECTION Round 5 or 6 SOURCES TELL US "You have to go back and watch his 2013 tape. They made changes in 2014 to the offense and he wasn't the same player. Go watch 2013. That is who he can be in the pros." -- director of scouting for NFC team BOTTOM LINE Saxton has traits that have opened the eyes of some scouts. He can run and has the length and hands of an NFL tight end. His biggest draft obstacle is that his willingness and/or ability to compete as a run blocker limits his value to a team. Saxton needs to get bigger and show a greater commitment to improving all facets of his game. For now, he is a developmental prospect with athletic traits. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/wes-saxton?id=2552404
C Mart
Taiwan Jones is interesting. 3rd-4th Round grade Positive: Explosive three down linebacker who makes plays against the run and pass. Plays with balance, rarely knocked off his feet and fast both laterally and in a straight line. Plays with a great deal of quickness and explosion. Breaks through blocks to get behind the line of scrimmage and is constantly flying around the action. Tough but also smart and does a nice job anticipating the action. Flows well to the action, strings plays out laterally and wraps up tackling. Gets depth on pass drops, shows tremendous range and covers a lot of ground. Quick to locate the ball. Makes the defensive calls for Michigan State and is known as a leader. Negative: Takes too many steps to the action. Never had great production in college. Lacks classic linebacker height. Ran poorly at the combine. Analysis: Though not garnering the headlines of his teammates, Jones has been a steady playmaker the past two years. He's a three-down defender who can play multiple linebacker positions in a variety of schemes and comes with the ability to quickly break into a starting lineup at the next level. http://www.draftinsider.net/reports/2015/ILB/Taiwan-Jones
