Bryce Huff's one and only 2-sack game came in the last game of the 2023 season, thanks to racking up his second one with 54 seconds left and a 2-TD lead in a meaningless game against a 4th string tackle protecting statue Bailey Zappe.

His prior game with a sack came when the Jets were already down 24-0 in the 2nd half against Miami. 

But I remember reading from the game thread, context was required for both of McDonald's first two sacks today.

We'll see if this is the beginning of a 10+ sack season, or if this is as good as it gets for his whole career, but it was great to finally again see a Jets-uniformed #99 sacking a QB multiple times.

I hope he keeps it up, we're gonna need it, right now we're one of the worst pass rushes in the NFL.  JJ's done for the year.  Reddick is at home burning his money, and we're gonna need a hell of lot more than what the D showed tonight to be a .500 team, much less a playoff team.

Sure are alot of player-personnel victory laps being taken tonight for one sh*t near-loss against a bottom 5 NFL team.  

Regardless, a 3-sack performance is a worthy accomplishment, so congrats to him.  I hope he continues to play this way, as we certainly need him to do so now.  A definite jump from his game v. the 9'ers.

No - why would they do that?  I was told that because Will McDonald wasnt dominant after 18 total games, he was a horrible pick and our GM should be fired.

The thing I dont like is, he seems to just run right into the tackle quite a bit and then trys to rip and spin off of that.

Not seeing the Bryce Huff style where he schools the tackle right off the snap and gets to the QBs face under 2.5 secs

It takes time for guys like McDonald to develop pass rush moves because they have gotten by off of elite athleticism for so long.  I also think that confidence is the most important thing for young players and this game should really allow McDonald to elevate his game more consistently and hopefully be able to fill the huge void we have now that JJ is out.

Really awesome to see a breakout in a game where we needed him.

Is this true? We had 4 sacks today and 3 last week. 7 overall in 2 games is at the bottom of the league? Seems unlikely without even looking it up. 
 

The bigger issues are our run defense and overall discipline, IMO
