Coming into a game in the 4th quarter down 3 or 4 scores on the road against a good pass rush is not going to provide much of a chance to gauge what he is. Don't quit on Petty yet, peeps. Please realize Petty is coming into a game in which the Jets have looked awful and Bowles made a mistake early on by not giving McCown a chance to catch his breath when when he was originally hurt. Second, give Petty a quarter before you start killing him. Kid has been sitting on ice all season long. Hopefully we have seen the last of McCown for this season and we can get a look at Petty over a longer stretch. If he sucks, then that's that. But at least let's find out.
