Joe W. Namath
They would have beat the dolphins and browns so 3-1.
nico002
0-4 they don’t get the team as pumped vs Detroit, pick six to open and performance after galvanized/energized the team
Untouchable
Who cares? We’re 1-3 and this is Sam’s team. Moving along

jetstream23
They would be 57 for 62 on handoffs and the team would be 0-4 because there would have been more completions to Robby Anderson and thus, more fumbles.
Adoni Beast
WHo cares? This year is all about developing Sam. We wouldn’t win the Super Bowl with this team, if we started either ine anyway. But just to play along, we’d be 2-2. We would have won the Cleveland game. The gameplan wouldn’t have been so conservative in the 2nd half, because a vet would have been given more freedom and they both would have played better than the sh*t show Darnold posted that night. We still would have lost to Miami, because Darnold was the best player on the field that day. His team let him down.
Pac
McCown would have us at 3-1. It's ok though.. as soon as the decision was made to roll with Darnold I shifted gears and expected what we're seeing.. Hopefully it will pay off.
j4jets
3-1 and it’s not even questionable.
sourceworx
As painful as it is to lose, if this all leads to Sam developing into a top QB then it is totally worth it.
Gas2No99
We'd be 3-1 w/Bridgewater. We'd be 2-2 with McCown. We'd be 2-2 with Darnold untethered. We're 1-3 because of the coaching staff as a whole.
Beerfish
This is why Todd bowles will be the head coach next year no matter what. Everyone and their dog is going to say, how can he win with a rookie QB? They would win 10 games with a vet QB!
HawkeyeJet
Honestly probably 4-0. With McCown at LG and Bridgewater at C.

TheNuuFaaolaExperience
I think that we would be 2-2 with the wins coming against the Browns and Dolphins with McCown. I'll take an entire year of growing pains with Darnold instead of a failed playoff run with McCown or Bridge. It will be a bit too late, but we will watch Darnold come into his own towards the end of the season.
Mogglez
I have no idea. Bridgewater isn't here and McCown isn't starting, why does it matter? Teddy wasn't going to be the future here no matter what. Playing him made little to no sense.
Patriot Killa
The whole point of playing Sam was to get the rookie his reps...so nothing else matters. including the record.

Plus McCown's surprising 2017 season aside, when he lasted through 75% of a season, who says either one of them would have stayed upright through the first 2 weeks anyway? How quickly people forget that the predictions through the end of August had him getting injured week 1 and immediately placed on IR. Maybe it's the fan in people, but what possesses people to believe that a fluke prior season is now the presumed baseline for the future?

jeremy2020
..with Bridgewater or McCown at the helm. The offense scores more and the defense does it's part by giving up more points. 2-
Jetster
How can anyone say anything but 1-3? Sam didn't fumble vs Miami, or run out of bounds burning a TO, or drop a pass right on his hands, or stop his route allowing a pick. In Cleveland McCown would have been sacked numerous times & who knows how many fumbles? In Jacksonville, neither McCown nor Bridgewater would have finished that freaking game! F*cking jail break at every snap, they'd need young legs like Sam to survive.
bealeb319
We would be in the same position Bridgewater wasn't surviving this season behind our offensive line and mccown is well known for winning teams a number one overall pickSent from my [device_name] using http://JetNation.com mobile app

I’m hoping as the season progresses both he and the team get bettter.
