Can you believe how badly we fcked up Project Darnold

• Rookie yr under OC Jeremy Bates, a guy who was lost hiking for 2 years
• Two yrs with Adam Gase whose offenses have been statistically the worst
• No one seems to understand the notion of scheming to talent.
• like 7 different RBs who all sucked, including washout Bell
• Virtually NO consistency at WR to develop chemistry with.... Robbie was the closest thing - adios Anderson! 
• THE OLINE... MY GOD.... 18 different starters. 
• Outside of Becton, this team is measurably worse since Darnold started in 2018

This organization is a joke.  Darnold came into a toxically bad roster with bad coaches, a culture of losing, and a clueless owner.  Poor guy.  He is salvageable but we need a total culture change like when Rex or Parcells came in.

The gase hire was beyond idiotic that is on the owners.

Everything else is on mike mccagnan.

Mccganan passed on mahommes and watson because he drafted hackneburg.

Mac totally ignored the oilne and O weapons.  I said mac was a disgrace three years ago, especially since he went through the same thing with David Carr when he was in houston.

And of course our owner is to blame for mac as well.

It all starts at the top.

To be fair, as I was told on this board, we still don't know if Hackenberg is a good QB because we haven't seen him in an NFL game yet.

Like WHAT THE FCK IS THIS?

 

It’s the Jets.  Coaches, players come and go but virtually all the time the Jets have some low level Head Coach “in training”, owners too cheap to pay a real one, who aren’t smart enough to scheme to individual player’s talents.    The top teams in the league ALL have coaches who can do that, but the Jets go DECADES without any.  They go with the scheme that they’ve known their entire assistant coaching existence and never deviate, again because they’re not smart enough.  That’s all you ever see from the Jets...Round Pegs that they try to jam into square holes.  290 lbers (Richardson) moved to LB because the idiot failed scout they gave a GM job too doubles down on DT and makes the position redundant using top picks.

The more and more evidence that piles up the more you realize the Owners could care less about winning.  Saving money that winds up in their pockets is all that matters.  Remember them going into a season basically without an entire Secondary the year after Revis was traded to Tampa?

The Jets really should be boycotted and any PSL holders should sue for their money back on the grounds they paid to see an NFL franchise and the Jets are not one.  They’d have a strong case.

Maybe set him free and send him to a contending team like we did with Jamal Adams? Let Sean Payton and the Saints transition to him after Brees, send him to Pittsburgh, or maybe Minnesota???

Get some picks, burn the whole thing down here, move the Jets to a different city like Art Modell did.

Last year, with a 3rd string QB playing the majority of 2 of the first 3 games, the Jets scored 33 pts in those 3 games. This year with their starting QB....37.

I think Darnold is proving to be a part of the problem, not the solution. 
 

It’s tough to do, but as Jets fans we need to let go of Sam. At this point he’s a placeholder for whomever the next guy is.

When Sam Darnold threw two Pick-6’s today against the Colts it was the first time that’s happened since....Joe Montana did it about 40 years ago.

Last year: 2 pick 6’s (Mosley v BUF & Adams v NE) a safety (v BUF) and Maulet scored on a muffed punt (v NE)

the defence & ST have offered nothing this year.

You are underestimating the impact of Robbie Anderson - a WR who stretched the field and gave defenses - at least something to worry about.  Yesterday we fielded an offense that featured one over the hill former NFL caliber RB, no NFL caliber WRs and two TEs who have lost a step - Herndon doesn't look as fast or as motivated as he did two years ago and Griffin will probably never be the same again - that was some seriously ankle surgery he had,
