Let’s get a decent veteran and build the OLine Draft one of them but make sure there is a vet in place to run the offense for a season if the newly draft QB needs post graduate work until he is ready to play in NFL games.

Someone in the game thread mentioned Jimmy G. What do you think? Who else could break free? no. that his worked so well for other teams. Grandy
If a top flight veteran is available, then go ahead. Otherwise draft until you get it right. If you become Indy you end up in football purgatory.
August
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/quarterback/?ref=trending-pages These are free agent quarterbacks for next season. On that list the most realistic options are Cooper Rush, Gardner Minshew, Jacoby Brissett, Andy Dalton and Teddy Bridgewater. There are guys like Jimmy G, Geno Smith, and Lamar Jackson that I believe will return to their current team next season. If I were to select a QB from that list, I’d want someone who’s young and has upside so that eliminates Dalton and Bridgewater. For me it comes down to Rush or Minshew. I’ve seen Rush mange a stacked team similarly built like the Jets. Minshew has the better physical tools. My choice is Minshew.

Popular Post Green Ghost
What if I told you we could get a 27 yo proven starter in this league. A guy who has proven he can win, and take a team with a balanced offense to the playoffs. A guy who isn’t a game manager, in fact he’s got a great arm, and isn’t afraid to show it off. This is our chance to change the narrative around here. The Jets need a leader. *Minshew wouldn’t be bad either…

Ummmmm I wanted Minshew as a backup the idea that we are going to get a starting caliber like a Joe Burrows in a trade is probably unrealistic don’t you think. Barkus
get Minshew or Jimmy G and draft a QB to develop in rounds 2-4. Let the young guy sit on the bench and learn for 2-3 yrs. Rinse and rpt until we find a winning combo, while continually building the roster.

HawkeyeJet
Mariota would be my choice of the “realistic options”. Rodgers would be my first choice and I’m not even sure if he’s entirely unrealistic. I’m guessing he is because of what trading him would do to Green Bay’s cap.
