Indiana Jet was playing Circa Survivor for the third year after first hearing about it during the inaugural 2020 season on VSiN’s “Follow the Money” show with Mitch Moss and Pauly Howard. “I’m one of those guys who gets up in the morning and listens to sports talk radio in the morning,” he said. “It was very exciting and I knew I had to get in it the next year.” He is slated to appear on FTM this upcoming Friday when he returns to Circa to collect his “big fake check” at Friday night’s annual awards ceremony at the D Hotel in downtown Vegas and his real check. This past summer, Indiana Jet bought seven entries when signing up with the Winners Circle Proxy service. Nevada rules require contest entrants to sign up in person at a brick-and-mortar casino but can then hire a local proxy to put in the weekly selections within the state’s borders. JAX JAGS also used Winners Circle while Circus Master and LAJONESER used Tom Carroll’s Vegas Football Proxy. Indiana Jet was obviously thrilled to clinch in the early games as he sipped champagne with Circa owner Derek J. Stevens in the back of the sportsbook. “It’s a relief,” he said after the toast in front of TV cameras and a mix of national and local media. “Survivor is a lot of stress. I’ll sleep well tonight for the first time in a long time.” It was a grind for Indiana Jet as Rob said his seven entries were down to just two heading into Week 5. He then lost another with the Commanders in the Thursday night game that week as they were shocked by the Bears in a 40-20 rout to leave him with just a single entry. “I decided I would just go with the best play,” he said, “and that was the Lions [who routed the Panthers 42-24 in Week 5] that week. “There’s a lot of strategy involved in this game, but a lot of it comes down to luck – bad calls, injuries, tipped passes, fumbles at inopportune times.
