Richie Incognito Agrees to 1-Year Contract with OAK

The guy made the pro bowl all 3 years he was in Buffalo. I know he is absolutely crazy, but for some reason I have always wanted him on my team. Some of the games where he is mic'd up are amazing. Complete beast.

Would want him on my team too. It's always good to have a crazy OL's. They can't all be on Defense.

He’s a hothead, but a damn good OG and most of his teammates loved him.

After the whole Incognito/Martin thing, Martin was the one who came off as a mentally unstable nutjob to me. Posting pics of him with a shotgun on Instagram talking about “taking revenge”. His old high school even shut down for a day because of it.

Really good O lineman when he has his head screwed on correctly. Should be interesting if he makes the 53 man roster in Oakland.

Richie got a raw deal with the texting nonsense in Miami while Pouncey walked free. The real nutjob was Martin. I would have liked the Jets to have given him the one year deal OAK did.

Agreed totally. I think Martin, NOT Richie, was the problem in that whole matter.

Wouldn't mind him in green and white either on a 1 yr. deal if he was "all in" on playing . Hell of a player.

Honestly he's a scary guy. If your a D Lineman you don't wanna be battling Cogs all day long. No telling what he will do if you start beating him. I could really see him gouging out eyeballs and hard punches to the groin if he's getting beat. That kind of a player is scary!

Theres crazy, then theres crazy where you have to worry about the safety of people.

This dudes brain is mush.  He should not be allowed to play football anymore and further damage it.  The nfl is stupid for letting this guy play again.

Something bad is going to happen and the nfl is going to get crushed.

I wonder if he will be facing any kind of suspension.  The League already doesn't like him and he has had multiple adverse encounters with law enforcement since he last played.  Double secret probation?

They are all crazy. OL's are just the smart quiet type.

So much for wanting to acquire “high character” players.   Guess that was just draft chit chat from Mayock.

On a live chat with Bart Scott, I asked him who the dirtiest player in the NFL was?  No hesitation, he answered, "Richie Incognito".

I think this is the perfect move for Oakland.

With Jonny Gruden on a 10 year deal, a sports commentator as your GM and an alienated fanbase, this is going to be the most epic implosion of a team in quite some time.  This team will have the number one pick in the 2020 draft.

Gives the Raiders a top five offense line now  , while giving one of the youngsters Lester Cotton, Brandon Parker, and Tyler Roemer another year to develop before they assume that lg job.  LT K Miller 6'8 330 Lg Richie Incognito 6'3 325 C R Hudson 6'2 300 RG Gabe Jackson 6'3 335 Rt Trent Brown 6'8 379 .

If anyone was meant to be a Raider it was Richie Incognito. Welcome aboard.

Some people are hard to root for. In my world he's one of them. Glad we didn't sign him.

Indeed. And if Jack the Ripper was still haunting Whitechapel, you'd say he's the perfect fit to manage the Raiders cheerleading squad. Incognito is actually disturbed and probably brain damaged. When he's trying to cut off Gruden's head with a chainsaw, don't come crying to us.

He won't.  He'll come crowing about how one of the 74 amazing rookies that nobody else in the league cares about will step right in and improve the performance of the O-Line.

I wonder when the NFL will start mandating cognitive testing for players who display behavior of the sort Incognito has.  Right now, they can fine or suspend you, but they don't seem to worry about possible warning signs of CTE until well after the fact.  Once you pass your concussion protocol, you are good to go, even if you are chainsawing heads off of dolls for fun.

This is a textbook case but it's probably way to slippery a slope for Goodell to even consider until public opinion gets ignited over this.

There is no doubt that on the field he is or was a good player. Just don't want him.

I think our poster Raideraholic has more influence in the Raider's organization than Mayock.😀

Do you ever stop? He gives nothing to the Raiders, you don't even know that he makes the roster.

Meant to be a Raider, what does that nonsense mean today?  He could have played 30 years ago?

Sorry but Richie is a complete whack job.  He has severe mental health issues.

If only Lyle Alzado was still alive, he's the perfect Raider.
